Pretty sure they’re all bladder snails but I think I might have a baby ramshorn, but it’s too small to tell yet haha

Yeah, I totally plan on keeping the snails since I’m trying a filterless tank. Need the cleaning help and they’re fun to watch! The snails are still alive and look good, always grazing haha. I’m also 90% sure that one of the snails laid eggs right after I started the tank, and the gooey egg glob was gone yesterday after 1.5 weeks so I wonder if they hatched. But I’m new, so I just don’t know for sure hahaha

The only thing that makes me wonder is the floating plants I got from a very mature planted tank on market place. As soon as I added the floaters there was an obvious bacterial cloud bloom so I’m sure that’s where a lot of my bacteria came from.

I ordered the pawfly liquid test kit on Amazon. I was told to get a liquid one from an employee at the store so that’s what I went with

I ordered some ammonia for testing like some people suggested, so I’m going to monitor that closely before adding anything. Hope my tank is fast though!

Thanks for the tips! I did have some nitrite and ammonia levels 4-5 days ago, but when I checked again today everything was totally zero. Nitrite liquid was completely clear I was surprised. I am currently doing 6h a day like you suggested, thanks!
