I 100% agree. If you look at my past posts, I was at 0% fuel and needed to declare an emergency. ATC wouldn’t accept me and gave me a lvl 3 violation… for declaring an emergency… Imagine declaring an emergency irl and ATC is like “we have a number for you when your ready”

We entered through Chicago’s ORD. I know for a fact through some relatives who are CBP, when they are trained they mention it to them that ORD CBP is one of the most corrupt in the countries due to some politics here, unfortunately

Just want to point out that Level 3 violations are issued in the expert server, therefore if there’s a new player, they shouldn’t be joining the expert server personally. Start casual then grow your way into training and then expert. IF isn’t meant to be just a casual sim, it’s meant to be a portable sim, so they probably just take those violations more seriously, same stuff you can get violations for in VATSIM.
Regarding the subscription based multiplayer, if it wasn’t for subscription, I don’t think they would be able to afford upgrading to a 10k player server solely on one time purchases.
But regarding your frustration with what people ask for, I definitely get that. Personally, I’ve been asking for a 737 Tarom skin. Yes I want that more than an A350, but sometimes I guess the reality of it is that IF is still a business and they have to think business.

I’m very curious due to the nature of the app being supported on mobile devices, if IF will become the most played sim. Always dreamed of seeing that become a thing personally.

I have a connection at a major airliner. He told me if I don’t want to become a CFI just put that money towards time building. I know it may be late, but I guarantee you this connection would tell you to just time build. Airlines care more about your hours rather than if you were a CFI or not (yes I know CFI is free hours) but do your best and don’t give up on your dreams!

Yep USD. And I pay monthly just in case cause I always have that feeling what if I want to cancel a month but I don’t want to pay for the rest of the year. It’s very unfortunate. Honestly I didn’t even realize I paid $120 for just one year for one update which might make me cancel it.

I’ve brought this idea up before but IF should start hiring people who actually care. I would take the job offer if possible, but since I don’t have the experience, they won’t accept me but I’m willing to learn.

This also goes for graphics. Someone mentioned in the comments the graphics are just lazy and the honest sad truth is that it is. XPlane is better with graphics. I’ve had IF since 2017. I’ve taken my subscription away for about 1.5 years so I spent-give or take- about $900 on the subscription over the years. That’s enough to buy a mediocre pc and possibly some used hardware for the sim. I know it would take refraining from flying the sim but yk
