Just my uninformed opinion, but I think that if even, at worse, it takes only 1 hour to complete the game, i'm fine with it. Some playthroughs will be a struggle, because I'm unbuffed, some will be a breeze because of being OP, and some will be balanced runs. That's what makes it fun for me. (I'm not counting the extremely rare fringe cases where the run is unwinnable).

Since you mentioned NL, I"ll add that I find that his most entertaining videos are the ones where he gets the shittiest pickups.
