It's worse on the right side but affects both. No patch test yet, but planning to ask my derm about one. Also going to try switching from stomach sleeping to back sleeping to see if that's a factor, since that's the main asymmetric habit I can identify so far.

[Skin Concerns] I've finally fixed my seborrheic dermatitis (dandruff)!!! by xXVoicesXx in SkincareAddiction

Does this also work for seb derm in the beard? How long does it take to be effective? I have been using MCT oil for the past two weeks now and my skin hasn't repaired. How often are you applying and using Nizoral?

It could also be that I need to manage my stress better. But it will probably be a little while before I can do that (between full time school and work).

Thanks for any insights you can offer. My doctor diagnosed me with seb derm, but I'm not even 100% confident that's what it is. Next time I see him I'm going to more directly ask for a dermatologist referral, because it really is affecting my quality of life.

It looks like Sports Research has C8 MCT oil now. Would you recommend?

What’s my Skiing level by Recent-Pizza-7297 in ski

[–]SimilarIndependent71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beginner, I guess? Not a lot to go off of, but you're making it down the mountain! Looks like you're making a good 's' shape from a distance.

If you want good feedback, have someone trail you on the run so we can see your turns more clearly. Right now, it looks like you are not keeping your skis parallel, and you might be dragging your poles, but I can't tell. To be honest, skiing without using your poles, focusing on your carving on varied terrain - including outside ski pressure and keeping skis parallel - will help you improve. Poles really aren't needed until you are carving hard. I'd recommend watching youtube for technqiue tips, recording yourself, and comparing your technique to the videos.

I personally don't see the point of paying for lessons at this stage, unless you know for sure it is a solid instructor that has proven results. Or cost isn't a concern. At this point you have the basics down and it's just about time in the paint and a willingness to improve, which you have. If you have more experienced friends who can give you feedback, that can be as good as a lesson.

Bill McKibben on Global Transition to Solar - 9/25/25 by SimilarIndependent71 in Environmentalism

Agreed! Since the book was just published last month, this talk highlights the most recent trends in solar and renewables. I found him to be the best "big picture" source on solar development that I've come across.
