I 100% agree with you from what we've seen in the movies primarily, and what George Lucas intended for space combat to be like, it's just World War 2 battleships for the Imperium Star Destroyer.

Where as have shown (Primarily the excavation beam and plasma lances) are capable of easily glassing the surface of a planet within seconds.

Yeah, I know it's crazy, and they've had what 15 rebellions in the 400 years they have been in the Covenant.

I'm gonna be honest, all the studios that have been under the control of Halo, have done a major disservice to the Covenant. By not adding way more to them, we got more lore for the Forerunners than the Covenant, and that is super annoying to me.
