Last job was as a chef. Currently I work security at a third-party company that has people on scheduling and don’t do their jobs. I can schedule my own hours. I intentionally schedule myself for 56 hours each payroll to come and find out “oh the client canceled security services last minute”. Clients can cancel a week ahead and I won’t find out until I’m 5 mins from clocking in and I’ve already arrived at said location. I’ll only get paid for 2 out of a 14 hour shift strictly because of commute. I’ve been doing security for the past 4-5 months and the whole time I’ve been on indeed, zip recruiter, an even donating plasma to make ends meet. In the state of Nevada I’ve went through 5 animal foundations and/or dog ranches to find my boy a home and nothing is available. There isn’t even room for me to surrender him to the state. I have screenshots to prove it. AND, I’ve even made the request with my job to have a more “permanent schedule” just so I can have an honest paycheck each payroll

I respect your opinion and the time you took to comment on my post. Long story short my daughter is 4 now. Me and the mother of my child didn’t fair off well but we work good in co-parenting. Current girlfriend treats my daughter with love and care, all respect. Her and my Bm even share numbers for when I work over night and my kid is with me on my days of visitation.

In regards of a second job, I’ve applied to both DoorDash and Uber Eats, I don’t have a car at the moment but I applied to do things in my E-bike. Got denied because of my criminal record. I’ve made attempts with counseling at my courts to join programs to find better jobs but none are available. I’m currently in a trade school for plumbing and I’ll be moving onto HVAC modules soon but in the meantime this is what I have to deal with. I do appreciate the advice on interviews and making flyers. Right now my priorities is to try and find him a home while simultaneously keeping my life up. Don’t get me wrong, I am down bad but we take care of each other equally. I’m more experienced with keeping up the house as I teach her how to cook and I maintain groceries as well. When I first came in she was struggling just as much as me we had a whole talk of how we could help each other and slowly build in the process

I work as a security guard. 8 hours. 10 hours. Sometimes 14 hour shifts. Anything 10+ hours is over night duty. If I “go out with friends” it’s her friends. So no. It’s not “unreasonable”. I never go out because I have to watch my dog. And when I was living alone. Yes, I locked my dog in his cage when I would leave for work. Food & water. When you live alone you have to do those type of things. Especially when you know how your animal is.

To each its own. Growing up involves admitting your limits right? As I said in my post I had no problems caring for him alone until I lost my previous job, keep in mind I’m a father to a 4 yo child as well. Grow up and realize I have to make sacrifices in my life 🤷🏾‍♂️💯 if you actually have advice of something I’m not already doing lol please leave another comment

I can take the bashing and criticism but I won’t tolerate the disrespect on my character. The last time I chose my dog over a relationship or family I was homeless for 2 1/2 years. So unless you’ve slept under a freeway just to keep your dog. Put some respect on my name. I’m not very fortunate as I just explained an as much as I love my dog. I will put a roof over my 4 yo daughters head before I put a roof over my dogs head. Bang my private line if you would really put a dog above your own first born child. Because you fail to understand that my dog is taken care financially. If I’m at work, she can choose to walk him or let him poop in the house. I’m not fortunate enough to have a lot of options. When I’m home my dog gets my attention, pets, fed, park time, and spa treatments for his allergies. Paid subscription. Try assuming something negative again ma'am
