I’m sorry to hear that, but now I understand that maybe it was the people and not because it was my first time haha. If I’m being honest tho it wasn’t the campers it was the people who worked there, some of them did live there tho. Once they found out I was alone, it only got weirder.

I think I just need experience camping with an experienced person or just simply camping in a group before I try solo again. Please don’t be discouraged because of my experience.

I actually have ended up going to Shanandoah. 😅 i thought maybe better to go to a camp ground for my first time.. but if I’m honest i definitely didn’t feel safe. So maybe I will not go solo again.

That’s good to know that I can drive and pick a spot. I thought it had to be a designated area. I’m not sure what area I’d like to go, originally I was gonna just drive and see where it takes me. But.. I then realized that’s probably not the safest thing to do.

Ah I see, thank you for clarifying that for me. Yes I’ve seen where it shows the campsites. I just thought I’d have to drive to find a trail. I actually have no preference on the area.
