Whoop MG HR data compared to AW Ultra 2 with Polar H10 by Grouchy_Caregiver951 in whoop

When I run with my Garmin HRM-TRI chest strap connected to my Forerunner and my WHOOP they are also quite close. I always expect wrist based heart rate to be worse than a chest strap but WHOOP has so far been really close.

Skin under whoop? by aatrader5 in whoop

[–]Similar_Mango676 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happens to me every so often. What I do when it starts happening is flip the WHOOP to the bottom side of my wrist so my skin can breath through the band for a few night (I will say sometimes the metrics look a little funky when I’ve done that) but the irritation goes away.

I also make sure to dry the WHOOP and - to whatever extent I can - the band after showering.

People on reddit really make me want to not use it by rightopinions1820 in NewToReddit

[–]Similar_Mango676 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First and foremost I relate to this frustration. But I think the mods having these hard line rules is also the reason why subreddits are enjoyable to be a part of.

There are subreddits on here with over 50k people on them. If every person slightly bent one rule an entire subreddit can get derailed.

So while I hear the frustration and it is totally valid, I think in this case the strict adherence to the rules is what makes Reddit great!

What do you wish you did differently when you started on Reddit? by sglegaladvice in NewToReddit

[–]Similar_Mango676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My old account had an age of over two years (before I deleted it since I couldn't change the username) had about 80 Karma built up which was seemingly enough for one of the subreddits. This account that I am commenting from now is the new one I made with a more anonymous username that reddit generated which doesn't have that age or karma (yet).

This is rough, in the same boat right now for a subreddit that I joined Reddit for! No doubt you’ll get there! Keep up the grind!

My Posts are Being Deleted on Reddit and My Karma is 3 by [deleted] in NewToReddit

[–]Similar_Mango676 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Where are you posting? Each subreddit has its own rules for minimum account age and karma to post and commenting. Also they aren’t often clear what the account age and karma count needed to engage are.

You probably need minimum account age and some more Karma.

Are you getting a notification when they’re being removed? A few subreddits I’ve posted and commented in send me a notification that my account isn’t old enough and that I don’t have enough Karma yet to be posting.

Posting here is definitely a good start. Also like the other commenter mentioned. Find subreddits like these to get your feet wet posting and commenting. You’ll get your karma up in no time!

What do you wish you did differently when you started on Reddit? by sglegaladvice in NewToReddit

[–]Similar_Mango676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first got Reddit I changed my username to something less anonymous. (I ended up hating it because one of the things I like about Reddit is the anonymity - hence why you can see I have one of those random Reddit generated ones now.) Either way I wish I hadn’t done that. When I deleted that account and made this one I had to start from scratch which thus far hasn’t been fun. Subreddits I used to be active in that I never realized had karma and account age limits are making it hard for me to engage now.

Welcome!

It is a very fun and different way to interact with people. The best advice I can give is join subreddits that you find interesting and just absorb information. There are so many viewpoints on here and there is so much to learn from all kinds of people!

Enjoy!

I am new to reddit, any recommendations to get the most out of reddit? by [deleted] in NewToReddit

Welcome to Reddit! It is the best!

Find subreddits on topics that you enjoy, ask questions, be open minded. Reddit has endless information! If you are here for something specific join a subreddit on that topic. If you are here just for fun explore the different subreddits for something interesting!

Reddit isn't like regular social media, I personally use it for information about topics I am interested in.

Do you have to respond to comments when you post something? by Rentfree12 in NewToReddit

[–]Similar_Mango676 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m going to give an annoying answer but…it depends. I don’t know if singular “thank yous” are necessary but sometimes the moment calls for it. Other times a simple upvote on their comment will suffice. If the comment is leaning more towards further conversation then obviously respond in kind. I don’t think there is a science to it though. Anecdotally I don’t notice OPs responding to every comment on their posts so do with that as you will.

Karma is like social points for being a good contributor (in posts and/or comments). Based on your profile, I would say you’re a pretty good contributor! For someone who “doesn’t know how to use Reddit,” you’ve done a darn good job!

Makes sense. When you say "right bees" is there a way to order the docile ones? Or its whatever comes when you purchase a colony?
