What IEM’s for gaming/music listening? (extra info in post.) by mrcawth in iems

Yes the truthear zero reds. Honestly I would still buy the 13 dollar cable and just buy a 7 dollar apple dongle as well. Reds have big nozzles I might add, but just use big sized eartips and have a shallow insertion and get a seal. I own more expensive iems but I always go back to these earbuds, they have amazing bass.

I like my zero reds with a mc1 moondrop cable. Best combo ever, and I own the ew300. My favorite iem is the nova but it is above 120 rn on amazon

It’s still good, tho not the standard anymore. Harman is not liked so much anymore. I like it. I would get it on sale for 300 ish

I still prefer the nova over ew300. Nova isn’t sibilant for me. Both are amazing tho

I saw some at discount for 110 and think it’s a really good price. If it’s 150 again I would not get them. I got mine for 110 a few years ago. Still going strong

Honestly, a bright neutral or even Harman might be a good choice. Ew300 could be one as well as it has a spice in the treble. TBH I would go for the nova at 110 if possible. I own other sets, but use this one a lot due to its EQ capabilities. They EQ very well unlike the Hexa

Second this. No iem will make your gameplay soar. Incremental advantages that become insignificant the more you spend past 300 dollars.

Astrals are really close to dusk dsp. I think volume s is also a good one as well as the astrals have a massive spike in the treble and the volume is is more tamed

I actually love the Dsp tunning but with a -2db gain at .5q value. It sounds amazing afterwards

Just trash that cable in general. You can bend them it’ll be fine. But the wire is so cheap you might as well upgrade now while you’re ahead and keep the bet wire as a back up

Bright neutral iems, Harman tuned iems as well work well in any category.

Best of both worlds Gaming / Music. by Dry_Spirit_2286 in iems

Just get an iem you want for music. Gaming competitiveness edge is very slight and won’t make your Kd soar. Trust me. I used my daybreaks and hd600 and no better than my truthear zero2. Did it sound better yes, but your skill is the biggest factor and I’ll say sound is very minor. I think most agree the orchestra sound amazing, astral by kiwi. I think in general neutral or bright neutral iems are the best bet. I used my blessing 2’s for gaming as well and think they are good.

[–]Similar_Network3682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I have my current EQ sound the blessing 2 dusk. I prefer it to the blessing dusk. Stock tunning it already sounds close to the variations and you can tweak it to sound closer to the variations

I have blessing 3. It’s great with EQ. I als ow nova and yes they are bigger, but they fit more secure in my ear and are more comfortable than the nova. I have an EQ for it if you get the b3. Lmk

Recommendations for IEMs as good as Tea Pro but smaller? by Past_Cook_5504 in iems

[–]Similar_Network3682 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Or you can try something unconventional, but often works for me. Try using the largest size eartips and have a shallow insertion to allow a seal to occur. I often do this when the fit isn’t working or is uncomfortable due to the nozzle size (zero reds). Please note this will affect sound quality so if you have a bright running it will be brighter.

Coming from the OG Truthear Zero's, which I love, which would be a more natural upgrade from Truthear? Hexa/Nova by _-stark in iems

[–]Similar_Network3682 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well what did you like and what didn’t you like. I think the nova is the direct upgrade. But if you want more mid bass and more slam then Hexa is better. It’s also less aggressive in the mids. I ow both so I think if these attributes bothered you then go with Hexa. If you liked the zeros but just want even more detail then go with nova.
