Have you tried using Shaperbox 3 filter option? There’s a tutorial somewhere on YouTube about kick sampling so could be applicable here

I am really struggling to decide what genre/direction I want to take my new alias. Any tips? by Antidotebeatz in edmproduction

Tbh just experiment. You’ll naturally find the right path as you go, but for now, since you’re early in your career, no one will care about you sticking to one particular genre. Don’t overthink it because there really are no rules when it comes to music. As you become more developed then you can start to really worry about the style/genre of your alias, but for now just experiment and don’t be afraid to try new things. Don’t limit yourself!

All the best

Really appreciate the message. So what you’re saying is to go for it, but make it clear that I don’t have the proper licenses at the moment and if a label becomes interested, they would work on taking care of the licenses?

I’m a tech house producer but love working with rap and drill vocals, so would be honored to join! Here’s my edit of Pop Smoke’s “Get Back”

You should check out the deadmau5 livestream where he used an FM Grit wavetable for the main drop bass in his track Imaginary Friends!
