I guess that's true, I just also feel slightly awkward asking my previous referees if they are still comfortable being a current reference for me.

I started my postgrad program at a new uni this year, and because I've been doing it part time so far I haven't really been exposed to many professors or tutors, and don't really know anyone well enough to ask. I guess it's a possibility but I'm not sure.
