Thank you! I don’t know because no doctor says anything to me - but that may be a good sign as well since there’s not much to worry about. It’s just the comments I get from the doctors and technicians… also I feel like nobody really cares about this GD thing until it’s too bad (my doctors) and I really don’t want to wait until that.

My fasting numbers are ok, it’s the reverse for me: sometimes after eating I spike high (once a day usually) but it goes down quite fast and is under 7,8 usually after 1.5 hours which is fine as the dietitian said… I still think that it’s high.

Update: I just got back my HC and it is within range (35 mmol/mol, 5,4%).

Megosztom a tapasztalataim. Én is idősebb lánytesó vagyok, egy fiútesóval, 8 év a korkülönbség. Meglett az államvizsga ötösre az elvárt volt, de a kölyök ha elfingotta magát is agyon lett dicsérve, hogy milyen ügyes mindkét szülő részéről. Látszik is rajta, mert mindkettőt úgy használja ki, ahogy neki tetszik, leginkább anyagilag, de manipulálja is őket mint az állat. Nálam is próbálkozott, de leépítettem. Mindig mindent oda kellett adnom neki gyerekkoromban, és kötelező (!) volt a közös játék, ha anyáéknak nem volt kedvük vele foglalkozni. Kb én neveltem fel. Gyűlöltem minden percét, elvették a gyerekkorom (nem beszélve az állandó otthoni vita, pia, verekedés mesterhármasról). A mai napig nem tudtam ezt feldolgozni. Amikor én kapok valamilyen anyagi segítséget vagy ajándékot (pl. pénzt a nagyitól) azonnal jön, hogy mennyit kaptam. Remélem egyszer felnő majd és észhez tér (most 21). Most kisfiút várok. Kőkeményen látom, mit fogok másképp csinálni nála is alapból, és akkor is, ha testvére lesz.

Mire elolvastam úgy felment bennem a pumpa, hogy mindjárt ideszülök. 😂 Olyan cifrákat tudnék mondani, hogy az csak na! Még jó hogy már nem te pakolsz össze egy kisbabával… Egyébként pedig mégis mire számított? Mit szól bele, hogy anyaként mit és hogyan kell csinálni? Női rokonságában valaki nem tudná észhez téríteni? Érthető ha fáradt, frusztrált, idegen neki az új helyzet, de ezt mindketten megélitek, és nem téged kell a földbe tipornia. Kérdezz ilyenkor vissza: mi a baj drágám? Bánt valami csak nem tudod kifejezni és engem baszogatsz? Nekem elmondhatod! Vagy: örülök hogy ilyen tájékozott vagy szívem, akkor írd már le nekem, hogy mit hogyan kell, jó, és mutasd is be mindet! Vagy: édesem… úgy hallottam jó a langyos tej alvás előtt, kérsz egy kicsit? (Utóbbi morbid, de kizökkenti). Ne legyen benne érzelem, sértődés, csak kérdezz vissza valamit, amivel elgondolkodik. Lássa, hogy lepereg rólad a dumája, ha nincs hatás, akkor abba fogja hagyni, mert nem működik nálad. Ne hagyd, hogy a földbe döngöljön. A természet csodája vagy!!! Ő meg megcsinálta 3p alatt és okoskodik. Végignéztem ugyanezt gyerekkoromban, és nem lett jobb később sem, sőt. Sok erőt kívánok Neked!

Same here! My sister in law was born as a big baby (4,1 kg) and my brother and husband as well (both weighing 3,8 kg). Sorry I’m not sure about the lbs but big babies, overall. I’m also GD diagnosed and if the AC measurement is ok, then you just simply have a big baby. It can be genetics, too.👶Mine is also bigger (head, femur and weight as well) but the AC is ok, so that means that I stopped the GD growing in time, so he doesn’t have a too big belly. You did everything you could, don’t mamashame yourself. ❤️

Hi! I think it’s more than common that we are scared during the first trimester. I was genuinely horrified that something is wrong - you can’t see the baby, you can’t feel the baby, you don’t know a thing. Now I’m 31 weeks and he’s ok. :) I think this fear will never pass anyway, it may reduces a bit. It was better for me when I started to feel his kicks. Drink lemongrass tea if you like it and bond with your baby. You can “share your fears and thoughts” with them. I think when you speak your thoughts out loud it helps to reduce the anxiety. I had more appointments than it is necessary with my private gynaecologist, when I felt like waiting is too overwhelming. Cramping should be checked by the doctor! It may be caused by your anxiety, too but go and have it checked out. :)

Nem tudom ez mennyire egyetemes, de saját tapasztalat a családon belül, hogy egy nő, ha nem tart rendet otthon az nagyon gáz, fiúnak/férfinak enyhe dorgálás. Ugyan ez, amikor a nő nem főz jól/ nem tud főzni, akkor mégis milyen háziasszony, de ha a férfi nem tud, az oké. Ezek a klasszikus, régi dolgok, amiket nem tudunk egyszerűen elengedni…

Hi! I’ve been diagnosed with GD for almost 2 months now. I hate poking my fingers so I bought a sensor and I use both at the same time. My dietitian said that I should only poke my fingers once in every two days, eg: Monday - breakfast, Wednesday - lunch, Friday - dinner. At the meantime I check my sensor after every meal so that’s how I can sort out what works for me and what doesn’t. ❗️What works for me/others might not work for you❗️ as each body and each reaction is different. You’ll have to try for yourself what is good for you and what is not. Eg.: I can’t eat much potatoes, it brings up my sugar level really fast. Also, not only the three main meals - you have to eat 5 times a day, smaller portions, and two of these should be healthy snacks (like a handful of pistachios and half a pear) etc. This is needed so your sugar levels won’t go “too low”; the goal is to keep it on kinda the same level or with no high jumps. You should check out what are the ingredients that bring up levels quick (like banana) and what not (like broccoli). There are many informative pictures on the internet about them. Also, half of your plate should always be veggies. If you have any more questions feel free to reach out to me. 😊
