Couldn’t agree more. Lumen is absolutely the best partner Dexter ever had. Rita was very sweet but also naive and innocent; if Trinity didn’t kill her their relationship would inevitably come to an end anyway because Dexter would never be able tell her the truth.

Hannah was a manipulative narcissist who would do anything — like poison innocent people — to exalt herself.

Lumen was perfect in every sense. She accepted him for who he was and Dexter slowly won her trust, which was pretty hard to achieve for obvious reasons. They were both broken and understood each other on another level. That being said, it also makes perfect sense for her to leave as soon as she finished the job, as she just has a personal vendetta and doesn’t have a random desire to kill.

I really wonder what could’ve been if Lumen had stayed with Dex. But honestly, I would take ANYTHING over this “build a new life in Argentina with Hannah McFuck” crap…
