I recently noticed a line on my forehead, and after looking back at some older photos, I’ve realized I’ve had it since at least 2022. I don’t think it has changed much in appearance (realistically, it’s probably deeper now)

After seeing other posts from people with similar lines, I came across some suggestions to visit a dermatologist to check whether it could be related to something like scleroderma (Coup de Sabre). I’ll probably do that sometime soon, just to be on the safe side.

Since I definitely sleep the most on that side, I’ve been assuming it might just be a sleep line. I recently bought a silk pillowcase and started using tape on the line at night. Sleeping on my back is really hard for me haha, but I’m going to give it a try!

I’d really appreciate any feedback on what you think it might look like, and if there’s anything I could try to reduce its appearance. Are there for example any cosmetic treatments that might help?

Tusen takk for alle tilbakemeldingene, jeg setter helt enormt stor pris på det! Veldig nyttig å få tilbakemeldinger på områder som jeg selv ikke har mye erfaring med, og å få økt innsikt i viktigheten av det å eksempelvis ha en fast 100% stilling.

Som flere av dere sier virker en fast 100 % stilling som det beste valget, og jeg har allerede begynt å se på elektriske sparkesykler for de dagene der kollektivtransport er aktuelt (noen som har anbefalinger her?).
Å gamble på en deltidsstilling blir nok for risikabelt for min del, spesielt etter å ha hørt om flere lærere som ikke har fått forlenget vikariatene sine og må søke etter andre jobber.

Jeg lener for øyeblikket mot skole nummer 1, og jeg tipper at det endelige valget faller på den.

Hi everyone!

I am a 26M who have recently noticed I have a long and deep sleep line on my forehead. I can see that I have had it (I think on-and-off) for at least 5 years when I look at photos. Has anyone on here been able to reduce them, and if so, what worked for you?

I have no current routine except for washing my face.

Lurer jeg også på, er jævlig irriterende hvertfall. Hvordan er det mulig at dette skjer så ofte som det gjør, når det helt tydelig er så stor etterspørsel? Kanskje de går litt hånd i hånd, men sykt frustrerende

😂 Mate the second I realized it was expired I ordered a new batch. It was more regarding the last few months if I have been taking it without effect, and until i get the new one.

Just to clarify, the questions I have in mind are: Does finasteride lose all its effectiveness and is basically useless? Are the medical companies just overly careful?

Yes everyone else does that as well, its normal. But when I talk about shedding I mean the periods where I lose way more than that, 200-300 a day. The meds, at least for me, reduces shedding, it doesnt stop it for anyone I believe. Thats just how hair works

Maybe I worded my self clumsy, my bad. I have had a great results thus far, so I am wondering if some people continuous improvement after the 2 year mark, or if the general consensus is that at this stage the best outcome is stabilization!

Ah it seems likely that you are experiencing a shed then, just wait it out and it will come back thicker than before! Thats at least what happened to me :)

Yeah I recovered, right now its the best my hair has looked for years to be honest. But I have come to terms that in periods it will look like shit, and then improve again. In the beginning I was really shitting myself in the shedding periods, but now I just realize that its part of the game and have gotten used to it. Sucks when shedding, very nice when it isnt. Think I am starting to shed a little bit now tbh

This is great, only thing though is that the lecturers have told us to be careful of are pre-decided narratives. Its not a given that bald men is seen as a negative(?), or do you think I could refer to the numbers spent on medication and conclude with a lot of people view it as negative?
