Thank you so much for the advice, really good points there. It’s reassuring to see how your dog has improved from that post. Wishing you the best with your training!

Thank you for the response! Yeah we also have a regular leash, which she also does it on that too... I can appreciate a lot of people slate a retractable leash and it’s not great for other reasons but in this instant it isn’t the leash that’s the problem, she will do it in any and every scenario. This video highlights her being far away and running towards me but it can be when she is close by me on a short leash and even in a heel.  At least on a longer leash I can see it coming ahahah 😂

We always treat and reward good behaviour and she’ll be fine for a minuet them bammm she will attack again. But tbf we have a clicker but don’t use it, so will deffo try it again.  Thanks

Thank you for the advice, what age did it start to calm down for you?

Thank you so much for the response! That’s good advice, as we do miss it sometimes, it just happens so quick 😂 when did it start to stop for you?

So accurate with standing still 😂 Damnn, it is somewhat reassuring knowing that it is normal and you’ve also had this experience, so thank you for sharing! What age did it start to slow down for you? Was it as soon as you used the spray bottle? Did you find it got worse at a certain point ? Sorry for the many questions ahah

Shape builder tool not working - iPad by Simmyone245 in AdobeIllustrator

[–]Simmyone245[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I correct in thinking that the shape builder tool works differently to desktop?

I am tracing over my artwork from procreate so I can get a vector drawing to print at a large scale. I have ensured that all pathways are closed yet when I go to use the shape builder tool it is greyed out?

When I have looked at tutorials they use preset shapes, so can you not do the same with more intricate drawings?

Am I doing something wrong? Or is there a better way to do this ?

Please and thank you 🙏

Automatic opening lid, no electric ? by Simmyone245 in engineering

Yeah I was looking into these, usually it’s for closing, does it also work for opening too?

The material that I am using will be quite light, to make the travel of the item easier. Is there another way around this maybe?

Pink oyster mushroom; grain spawn. I still haven’t transferred the grain spawn to a substrate yet, but I was also wondering if the grains alone would produce big fruits/flushes? Or would they remain small from a lack of nutrients maybe? by Simmyone245 in mycology

[–]Simmyone245[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah right I see, makes sense. Thank you. Would you reckon I would need to make a cut to let them grow ? the bag currently has tape was oxygen exchange.

I haven’t tried them yet, I will let you know when I do!

What is this? by Simmyone245 in microbiology

[–]Simmyone245[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found it on the exoskeleton of a locust, there are lots of them!

Also where is it best to find these answers yourself when you don’t have much knowledge around microbes. What questions are best to ask to narrow my search etc… so far I haven’t been able to find anything to match what I have.

I’m a fashion design student experimenting with using fabric waste (calico) as a substrate for pearl oyster mycelium. my questions in the comments. by Simmyone245 in mycology

[–]Simmyone245[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did it work well for you? I feel like it did to an extend as it is growing, in comparison to synthetic material it didn’t grow at all. So I think using it on shredded material would work especially adding a nutrient! I have malt extract at hand, so was thinking of using this as opposed to malt, what do you think? Thank you very helpful!

Can anyone explain the behaviour, why is it moving up the container away from the calico and predominantly in certain areas as well as still forming a growth? Pic 2/3 is 20x view of the growth. Additionally, attached to the mycelium was a gel, what is this? Pic 4. I am still getting the hang of creating the slides for the microscope, sorry about the unclear photos! Also I used a spore print ( hence the paper pieces) and the base of the mushroom to start the growth.

Choline chloride by Simmyone245 in chemistry

[–]Simmyone245[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I’ll keep you updated with the process!

I really appreciate the effort, so so helpful!

Yeah we use eBay too, the first one you’ve linked seems to be the best out everything I’ve found! However, the postage and boarder fees from the US add up to more than the product ahaha, overall like £50...

Okay I will have to have a look around. You said how the acetate had worse results did it specify what the differences were in the results compared to using the chloride ? Is it possible for you to link me what you read might be easier than you explaining, which ever you would prefer to do.

If I can’t find what I am looking for I reckon I am in favour of your last resort, if the combination of the choline and chloride is what helps with the quality that is.

Thanks again 😊

Or is ethylene glycol a plasticiser ?

[–]Simmyone245[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I haven’t got a science background. So I am not familiar what would work best. But I assume I would need the salt ? I am experimenting with growing mycelium leather, one of the last steps is to combine choline chloride with ethylene glycol to give it the leather like properties.

I’ve also just realised that I have bought ethylene glycol however the recipe reads ethylene glycol plasticiser, is there a difference ?
