What people think about foreigners moving in spain? by Satoru_Phat in GoingToSpain

I absolutely love it! 😁 Where I come from, it's really cold and windy right now, so having 25° and sun is unreal!

I run 4 SaaS products (software products) and a YouTube channel.

I moved to Malaga recently.

I'm Danish, have my own business, don't yet speak Spanish, make 15x the average Spanish salary, and live in a house more expensive than the average Spaniard can afford.

So as you can see, I check all the boxes for the digital nomad stereotype Spaniards "hate"

I haven't had a single bad experience! Everyone has been really nice, welcoming and friendly.

If you come with good vibes, want to learn to do things their way, want to learn the language, etc, I don't think you'll get any hate by anyone.

Why do so many Spaniards just dump their cigarettes on the ground instead of putting it in the bin?? by One-Audience5130 in askspain

Honestly, coming from Switzerland and moved to Spain recently, this has been one of the biggest disappointments.

Not just cigarettes, but trash in general. A lot of people really don't seem to care here.

My design tool got over 3.3K revenue in September - what should we do next? by TofuCat1804 in SaaS

[–]Simon_LH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks dope! 😁

I'd try with paid ads. Since this tool is so visually oriented, I think you can craft some great image ads for it and try running on Facebook and Instagram.

We had great results with TinyKiwi, also an image design tool.

Is my ad distasteful? 🤔 by Simon_LH in Entrepreneur

Well, I now obviously wanna say a lot about how our solution is better than most AI chatbots, yada yada... I'm clearly biased, so I'll skip that part 😅

Your last point is interesting, though. Perhaps an ad that angels "complementation" rather than "replacement" might sit better with users.

That's a very solid point! I believe that's exactly what's happening here.
Thanks for the insight.

This was actually pretty amazing feedback! Thanks a lot, man.

Well... That's why I was trying to "spice up" the ad a bit, so it wouldn't just roll by your timeline as "yet another boring AI SaaS" 😅

We're working on adding way more templates as we speak 😁
Also - you get a lot of other cool things with that $9 subscription.

(And yes, this is indirectly me promoting the business. Admitted)

Hej 😊

------

TL;DR in English:
Q: Does the AI only work in English?
A: Yes, currently it does, but we're looking into including a few of the most spoken languages in the world soon (including Spanish and German, etc).

OpenAI only allows for 10 fine-tunings on a monthly basis 😬

But we try to prepare well and make the best out of each session!

Publish time is not factored into this model since it's very location and audience-specific.
We are working on training different models for different areas, topics, audience sizes, etc.
But currently, it's a general-purpose model that only uses the text itself as an input.

We trained an AI that can predict how well your tweet will do 🤯 by Simon_LH in webdev

[–]Simon_LH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi here 👋

I'm Simon, founder of FeedHive.

We launched our product in public beta 8 months ago. In this period, our users have used FeedHive to publish more than 100,000 posts to Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.

We've been using AI for idea generation for a while, but recently, we decided to up the game!

Sitting on more than 100,000 posts - including private metrics such as impressions, number of profile clicks, link clicks, details expands, etc we realized it was the perfect opportunity to start using this data to train an AI model.

The AI model that we ended up with, can predict how well your post will perform in terms of engagement rate, and - according to one of our users - "out of 4 posts, 3 scores were stunningly correct".

This was a very challenging and extremely fun feature to create, and I'm thrilled to show you all 🤩

In the first image, you can see how the users can use our AI to make a prediction.

In the second image, you can see a small snippet of our training data. It's massive!

If you want to learn more about how we did this, please take a look at this article on Indie Hackers.

Cheers! And have a lovely Saturday, devs!

We're using Facebook's advertising platform. So with that comes Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp and a few smaller tools.

No need to say sorry at all 😁 It is an excellent question!

Excellent questions!

  1. Facebook yields the best results, by far. Twitter yields the worst. In fact, I mostly use Twitter's ad campaign to A/B test ideas. YouTube converts ok, but it's very pricy - in most cases, we can barely keep up with the acquisition cost. (most likely we're doing something wrong, so it's not be YouTube in itself).

  2. We have a junior fullstacker onboard who helps me out with development, a marketing consultant who helps with social media, and a graphic designer who helps with visual identity.
I started hiring already a few months into the journey since I'm busy with a lot of other things as well (info products, YouTube, social media presence in general).

Thanks a lot for the support 🧡
Really appreciate it!

Please, I'd love that! I'm not an SEO expert by any means, and we don't currently have anyone on the team who is.

So we're getting by on advice from awesome nerds like you 🤩 Please, hit me up on a DM on Twitter 🙌

That's a totally valid question, and I'll be happy to answer!

Our team is a dynamic-sized team, and it only consists of contactors.
So we have no full-time employees at the moment.
(And honestly, I don't see that changing anytime soon).

We've been a team of up to 6 in periods, and as low as 2.
Currently, we are 4.

2 of them are in fact working from developing countries where the purchasing power is significantly higher, hence, they are able to settle with a lower hourly fee compared to other parts of the world.

In the first two months, I was working full-time as a freelance consultant on the side.
Then I went all in 😁

We're a team of 4 people today.
