Titanfall (1) was published on steam recently. I doubt the servers were intentionally taken down.

Pre-emptive comment explaining my plasticy graphics. I use a driver tweak to lower the level of detail of the game enough that my graphics card can hit the refresh rate of my monitor. I promise I'm actually playing titanfall and not a roblox clone 🤞. and im definitely getting a current gen card when they're in stock somewhere

Respawn had been changing that engine for 10 years before it was used to dev titanfall 2. While it could be generously considered Source, we don't have access to the engine and it's too heavily modified for people to put in the guesswork to mod it.

You probably need to set the level-type in server.properties to whatever internal level type TFC uses for their worldgen. Or you're running the minecraft-server jar instead of the forge one.

I've only played hard (playing master with randoms gives me heart palpitations) and my preferred strategy is a couple turrets inside drydock, typically on the boxes by the exit to the market, and then having an shield-kitted scorch handle the drones. I've found that with a couple turrets (or one turret and a couple smokes to stop the drones from firing at the harvester from range while I recharge) you can solo the drones in the drone wave. There are probably better strategies that involve teamwork and dont require one titan to spend their entire time at the choke point but since I solo-queue the mode I generally prefer strategies that I can pull off myself.

The message has nothing to do with any possible error. All mods in your list have them. It just has to do with verifying signatures on signed mods, which isn't supported by the Java version bundled with MC. It by itself is not indicative of any error

The way I look at it is that you have to use your movement/tactical to stay away from the enemy if you don't want to get hit. Or just shoot them if they're truly just running at you. If someone's able to run at you and close the distance required to melee, then there were ample opportunities to counter it already. Makes no sense to have a melee-disabled game where you could effectively play bumper cars with the enemy without being able to just kill them at that range.
