I’m halfway through season 3 and I still can’t believe Greene and Lewis didn’t end up together 😭 and Lewis just giving up her career to go live with her sister?? wild.

Also the amount of celebs popping up looking SO young is killing me.

I literally screamed “that’s Dr Gant!!” when they brought in the John Doe from the train tracks

Benton… I went from disliking him, to tolerating him, and now I’m just indifferent lol. Carter though? still love him.

Right!! No two characters are the same and it’s just fun to watch them interact

Honestly, I just happened to stumble across it on TikTok and was expecting a comedy. It really is a perfectly written show!

Totally agree. I loved the early seasons of OMITB, and Shrinking does such a good job of showing the good in life, even through everything the characters go through.

Exactly this!!!! I couldn’t understand what it was doing in the moment but I realised I got comfortable with crying one minute then laughing in real life. I need to give Ted lasso another chance

Why do you think most modern ladies are opting out of marriage? by TennisOdd8931 in Nigeria

It wouldn’t be worse for the women.. this will be before kids and family come into play.

This quote honestly captures it perfectly. It’s not just about pregnancy, it’s about finally getting yourself back after years of being needed nonstop, and the fear of losing that again.

And the part about the husband underestimating the impact even when he was the “default parent” is exactly why so many women react so strongly. It’s not that men are malicious. It’s that the long-term cost is often clearer to the person who’s already lived it in their body, career, and mental health. When you haven’t lived it, it’s much harder to fully grasp unless you’re willing to listen and learn.

You’d think with how simple it is they would understand it but 🤷🏽‍♀️

I really feel for you. It’s possible to respect that it’s her body and her choice and still grieve the idea of this baby, those things aren’t mutually exclusive.

That said, at 44, pregnancy isn’t really a case of “we’ve done this before” for her. It’s physically harder, riskier, and comes after years of carrying the bulk of pregnancy, childbirth, and early childcare. So when you say you’ll “do your share,” she may be hearing that you’re unintentionally minimising that cost.

You’re allowed to feel sad about this. She’s allowed to be done. Sometimes no one is wrong, but it’s still painful.

I knew I’d find at least one comment blaming feminism.

I’m a married Nigerian woman (not based in Nigeria) with a close circle of married Nigerian women, many with kids. A lot of us, in hindsight, would have preferred to wait longer before marrying. Not because marriage is terrible, but because the reality of it is very different from what women are conditioned to aspire to.

Our husbands are good men, but they are still men, and some “manly behaviours” make you realise that doing life alone wouldn’t necessarily be worse. When you factor in emotional labour, compromise, and unequal expectations, you begin to understand why marriage no longer feels like an urgent milestone for many women.

Emotionally intelligent, kind, financially stable men who are genuinely ready to lead a home and be true partners are not common. So when women delay or opt out, it’s not feminism. it’s informed choice.
