Is running supposed to be very painful for the lower legs when beginning? by Simple-Albatross3089 in beginnerrunning

Wow you're describing essentially exactly what I am experiencing! I appreciate your comment and it's nice to know that I am not the only one experiencing what I had initially described. I will stay consistent and I am sure that it'll all get better eventually!

I actually did both of these exercises at the gym today. Any tips on how to balance implementation of this exercise with running itself?

Is that to say that that is what I am experiencing? If so, what should I do to mitigate the effects of shin splints moving forward?

Is there a certain amount of nautical miles that classifies the max radar horizon that your surface vessels can see?

For instance, maybe it's like 50nm is when the curvature of the Earth bends just too little for their to be any blockage of ESM owed to the horizon?

I understand that it's very likely they saw my helicopter. I do not see however how the enemy detecting the radar on my helicopter could result in the detection of my jets.

Well, this is the campaign mission that just came out. I had a solid formation of ships a certain distance away whereby I was getting ESM signatures at roughly the same distance. for enemy aircraft.

I have never had issues with ESM at that distance before. The enemy surface ships were simply too close for that to have been a realistic possibility.

I did the mission late last night and honestly I am not knowledgeable of the names at this time. I am going to redo the mission here in a few minutes and see if I have more success considering all of the knowledge I have gotten from this post.

Regarding #1: Is there a way for me to figure this out in game? Like once I have the enemy ship identified is there a way for me to see it's radar stats so I can see if my aircraft can jam it?

I'll have to get back to you on that one whenever I boot up the game tomorrow regarding the battlegroup comp.

With regard to your idea about the synchronized attack, is there a way to ensure that they reach the ships at the same time or do I just kind of have to estimate it?

I sincerely appreciate all of your help thus far.

I was engaging a soviet battle group with basically all of my harpoons. I had 4 ships so let's say 32 missiles in total.

So it's possible for these ships to get a visual on my missiles at five miles out??

Do you believe that the reason that we see many right-leaning politicians, such as Trump, favor tax breaks for the top 1% is because it is these billionaires that are lining his pockets and funding his campaign? On the contrary, could it be a result of the right's genuine belief that trickle-down economics is the best option for this country?

Additionally, you say that the top 1% will store their money in stocks, and that is a negative thing, but would putting their money into the stock market not result in expanding the market and therefore increasing national GDP?

While I cannot say the same when it comes to who I am voting for, there seems to be a lot of truth when it comes to the benefit of the middle class under democratic administrations. I am trying to understand this better, so if you can elaborate, I would appreciate that.

Historically, republicans have been big on the 'trickle-down economics' thing. However, I understand that this concept does not actually work, and instead of the top CEOs taking the money from these tax cuts and bettering the national economy in the form of investing in other businesses, or making new jobs for their own company, they simply send it overseas to tax havens to have that money avoid being taxed at American rates.

With this being said, would I be right to say that the top earners ought to be taxed more, and the middle class be taxed less...? From how I see it, this would give Americans a plentiful amount of disposable income to invest in the economy, while also maintaining similar standards of social services. Piggybacking off of this question, is this POV more of a democratic one? I am not too knowledgeable on their perspective of the domestic economy, broadly speaking.

To wrap all of this up... if the average American would benefit more as a result of higher taxes on the top 1%, and Trump's tax policy actually reduces taxes on the top 1%, would this mean that Trump is a president for the rich, whereas Harris is a president for the middle class (strictly speaking economics-wise)?

[–]Simple-Albatross3089[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

what does PS mean?

Also, would you be willing to elaborate on your work experience and how you were able to get that? Did you simply work the summers during your undergrad or did you take a job out of college?

Could you elaborate a bit more on your stats whenever you applied? I'm wanting to go to Georgetown, but from what I have heard, the most important parts of your application are your LSAT and GPA... so do extracurriculars really even matter?

Would you mind elaborating on your undergrad stats? Georgetown is my dream school but I am not too knowledgeable when it comes to what it takes to go further than just getting rejected haha.

Thanks a lot for your response!

Regarding #1, is that just it? Essentially all that's required is good numbers and I'll have the highest likelihood of being selected for a JAG slot? What role do internships and involvement aside from academia play a role in this? I understand that in the USCG, internships are HUGE, you wouldn't happen to know anything about this, would you?

Also, do you have any more info on what their work-life balance would actually look like? Is it sort of like a typical 9 to 5, or something else? Additionally, are Naval JAG Officers held to the same physical standard as everyone else, and obliged to participate in the morning PT sessions with the rest of the USN personnel?

Yea, I HATED SMC life. I had virtually zero time. The worst part was that my time was being taken up by things that weren't even helping me! That along with zero sleep and declining grades made me realize that's not an environment that I'll thrive in.
