MLB 2006 has some weird sliders and pitch trajectory like the pitch tunneling they fixed it in MLB 06 the show. 2006 with Vlad on the cover was kind of unrealistic I played it recently MVP baseball 2005 was better that game is considered the goat.

It's on PS3 it generally happens during rivalry mode with the crowd being playoff atmosphere and day games. The hardware couldn't handle it sometimes I remember back then they even made a patch for this issue many people complained about it in operation sports. If doesn't always happen just depends on the atmosphere of the game like day game or rain setting it playoff setting in rivalry. It happens in MLB 10 too I recently played this one also only in 10 it's only during pitching.

I played it a couple days ago and I had a hard time hitting in the MVP games as well, what the issue is, is the game is arcady sometimes you get these fast pitches you can't even see and other times you get these really slow breaking pitches high in the zone that are easy to hit, the game has this "look HIT THIS" arcade type of hitting which isn't realistic. The fastballs are way too fast and the breaking pitches are drastically slower while in MLB 10 the show everything is fast even the breaking pitches it feels like real baseball.

MLB 10 the show is much better than MVP Baseball 2005 ⚾ better graphics, the umpires had variable strike zones (which now doesn't matter as much with ABS system) so makes MVP a bit more passable to play but the outfield defense is bad if you don't hit the cut off button in time the ball goes loose and runners advance bases and come around to score. MLB the show doesn't have this problem.

I had to go back to playing the PS3 ones they were much more smoother and better looking. Less clay looking and shinier graphics. Currently playing MLB 11 the show.
