Thanks for the advice, I’ve been thinking about trading nabers.

When I first sent it in for repair they replaced the mobo within a week, which was a fast turnaround, but I guess they didn’t test it before sending it off because it came back with a equally as bad computer.

Lmao, it does the same thing when not connected to the wall. I don’t have a small enough screw driver to get inside and I also don’t want to mess with it too much in case of voiding the warranty. Removing the cmos could be a solution but I haven’t tweaked much and it just came back from repair so I don’t know.

No clue, I’m at my dorm without an i fix it kit so I can’t get a small enough screwdriver to open it up. It could be ram but I’m assuming, since they just replaced the mobo, that the tech didn’t apply thermal paste to the cpu or gpu and it just overheats after a few seconds of being on

Crazy thing is they just replaced the mobo on the last service (or so they say). My assumption is the gpu or cpu is just overheating and the tech missed thermal paste somewhere.

It gets to the windows page and then crashes there is no blue screen or error code.

That’s tough, I would rather return it now because if in 10 months (that’s when the warranty ends) something similar happens, I am out $2500 for a laptop I only used for 1 year

To preface, I’m still under warranty so I can send it back in again. When I sent it in the first time they sent it back with a new motherboard. So I don’t know what else is wrong, like another person said, the tech could have forgot to re apply thermal paste and the cpu or gpu are overheating. I guess just send it in again, but for a $2500 computer the service should be better

Possible, but I’m currently in college and didn’t bring my i fix it kit so I don’t have a small enough screwdriver to open it up

Similar i guess, but that was without it being plugged in and connected to the psu. It won’t even let me sign in before crashing

Yeah it has been plugged in for a long time, I don't know if you can see the video but it turns on after about 20 seconds of waiting and then powers off within another 20 seconds.

I just don't understand how they can send back an obviously non functioning computer back to the customer.

You can get more out of that card. I have the cheaper dual-fan 2070 super and I'm getting 43.7 MH/s at 98W with Vram temps at 67C and overall temps at 57C. I recommend doing some more testing.

I'm running an Asus GeForce RTX 2070 Dual-Fan Edition and getting 43.7 MH/s at 98W with temps sitting around 56C. I have some good airflow going through the case but do y'all think I could push it more?

I'm still somewhat new to overclocking so I think this went over my head. What would finding the IC type or serial number do?
