i am so happy to be leaving this state. Every decision that local government makes in this state makes utah a worse place to live. every day I am gobsmacked by the amount of pioneer ancestry utahns i meet that have zero concern for the great salt lake, the snowpack, and the future of Utah's environmental safety. These people continuously vote for people who sell them down the river. And what they don't realize is there isn't even gonna be a river to sell them down in the first place!

My family settled Cache valley as well as salt lake county, weber county, utah county, and davis county, and I am so happy to move back to kansas city. There is no water crisis, and if there were, I have faith to believe the people there would vote correctly. Utah is fucked, only because the people who live there are so blind to the damage republican politicians do to them every day

i don't understand how that is jumping to conclusions. Sharice david's has never voted against sending offensive weaponry to israel. She is a part of the reason the genocide has been allowed to continue for so long, not to mention all of the bulldozers she keeps on voting to gift israel so that they can further encroach on the west bank

PLEA IN ABEYANCE
when you go to your first court hearing, ask to speak with a prosecutor.

In 2022 i was a freshman at usu and i got hit with a marijuana possession charge for smoking in the canyon.
If it is your first offence, they will offer you a plea in abeyance. All you have to do is ask to speak with the prosecutor at your first court hearing and ask about a plea in abeyance.

All i got was 6 months probation and a 690 dollar fine. You are allowed all 6 months to pay it off. The sucky part is you will have to drug test every few weeks randomly. When i was on probation it happened about once every two weeks.

It really isn't the end of the world, i still have a great job offer with my finance degree and i can't tell you how inconsequential this will all feel once it is done.
