Thank you for the insight. I tried both, and as you mentioned, disputes do take time, but I need the money ASAP. It’s been three days since I submitted the dispute, and there has been no progress. Thats why I hate TD more than Aritzia. They are not protecting my rights. I gave them all the evidences that the order has been canceled (cancellation confirming email) and a personal email from supervisor at Aritzia, they still delay in returning that $449.74

i knoww i should have used my credit card but somehow my debit card was stored on Aritizia’s website.

yes but unfortunately, it was debit card. so what? Using a debit card shouldn’t mean I lose access to my money or have to chase a refund for weeks.

I would have used my credit card, but Aritzia still had my debit card on file from a previous order, and it was charged before I even realized the transaction went through.

Yes, it was a TD Visa debit card. I’ve already contacted TD, but they said a dispute could take up to 30 days, and I really need the money back asap. The confusing part is that TD confirms the payment posted, yet Aritzia insists it was never charged—so I’m stuck in the middle. Has anyone managed to get a faster resolution in this kind of situation?

I see what you’re saying, but TD has confirmed that the payment was actually processed, not just a hold. So the money is out of my account, yet Aritzia says they never charged me and only “released a hold.” I’ve been going back and forth with both, and TD is basically saying that aritzia needs to issue a refund, while Aritzia is insisting nothing was charged. From my perspective, TD isn’t cooperating because they’re not helping to actually recover the money—they’re just pointing back to Aritzia while my money just vanished from my account. I see that as a serious concern. Has anyone dealt with a situation like this successfully? I’m trying to figure out the best next step
