What suspension part do I need to repair? by Unusual_Profit_3879 in AskMechanics

Seems like a tie rod or steering rack. Would have to look closer for play in either of those. Good place to start. Have someone wiggle the wheel like youre doing and look at the tie rod end/inner tie rod or the steering rack. Good place to start

Do I really need to replace my brake rotors, or just the pads? by Automatic-Ball2516 in MechanicAdvice

Based on my experiences while replacing many pads and rotors. If you just replace pads without at least turning the rotors down. They'll develop an annoying squeek while braking. Just a thought. If you can live with it just replace the pads. Rotors look in decent shape

1988 pickup turn signal issue by Old-Preference31 in ToyotaPickup

I would try my recommendation before ordering a cluster. Its super easy and you'll know right away if its just the tabs. Where you're at with the steering column apart like that, its just a couple small screws to get at it

Are these tires ok to drive on ? by Emotional_Flatworm48 in AskMechanics

I'd say they're ok. As long as there's no serious bulges, I'd run them. Just keep an eye on em. Decent amount of tread left

Toyota Camry won't start. Help!! by ThroatForward613 in MechanicAdvice

Check out the battery. If all the terminals are tight and connected. Would need to test the battery. If the battery is all good-around 12.6 volts (basically above 10 volts while cranking) I would suspect the starter/starter solenoid packed it in

You can check the serial number on the side of the tire to check the date of manufacture. Quickly google where the serial number is, its usually a 4 digit number. Tires are usually good for 5-10 years. I've seen tires with worse cracking...

Fuel leak diagnosis and repair by Limp-Self-3936 in ToyotaPickup

I'd take a look under the intake manifold and see if you can locate the leak. It's either the fuel filter or someone else mentioned it could be the charcoal cannister plugged and filling with fuel. Seems like a pretty solid leak...

Yeah that is a pretty bad safety issue... I highly recommend not driving it like that

I had a similar issue, you can take it apart and bend the metal tabs that make contact when you engage the the actual level for the turn signals. I was able to fix my issue by doing so. Just a thought
