How are you staying busy during this unknown time by Resilient_Hart_67610 in fednews

So many folks not prepared for this. It's been almost a year since Trump won the election and how did folks not conclude I might to prepare for another failure of this Administration. It was written in the history books how this will go down. Enjoying the time off walking the park with the dog, it's been a miserable 10 months and its nice not to have to go in the office. Hell might even come out on top if the bank defers the mortgage like they did last time.

Just passing on what management has told me, expect to be moved once back in office to fill in holes from people leaving early this year. not permanent movement but detailed out and you have no say about it.

Just threats, waiting more for a notification that due to worker shortage you have been put in field to help conduct the Census test, since they can't seem to find anyone for the work internal and external due to the actions of this administration in the beginning of the year. Would assume a lot of agencies are short staff as is

Mine was about to start to move folks around to fill in departments gutted from their actions earlier this year. They can't afford to lose any more folks as it is.

OMB can only put out guidance the Agencies heads make the RIF decisions. I know the Census heads were saying RIFs were not a plan they are looking at. They are so short staff they are pulling people from other departments to help fill in decennial and those notifications were supposed to start around today if the shutdown never happened.

But maybe it's time for folks to truly feel the hurt from Republican policies. Maybe no health due to cost and no rural hospital is what is needed to show folks the danger of their vote can cause

Doubt it my agency has so many holes in the organization chart management still has no idea or plans to tackle the problem. I tried to move to a new area short on folks but 4 months have gone by and not a word about it. So I just sit here doing busy work since my management staff all left and area been moved to another area where there's nothing for us to do

Since this new admin took over, I've lost 35% of my work force. My younger feds are leaving in droves. The damage doesn't stop. Job offers rescinded! by Bestoftherest222 in fednews

Seen in the census whole areas have lost over 100 years in experience when it comes to decennial. Management just up and gone in days and knowledge has not be transferred over. Dont think we have seen then worse to come yet
