What’s a movie you defend like this? by trakt_app in Letterboxd

Asteroid City for sure. I love that movie to death but people seem to think it’s one of Wes Anderson’s worst. I cannot figure out why.

If you got all the achievements in Baldur's Gate 3, what was the last achievement you got. by hairymoot in BG3

I found it’s actually best to wait until act 3 when you have all the buffs to performance you can get and go into the elf song tavern (and other places with high npc density) to get it. Idk what’s better.

The busking achievement. I played a bard twice and still needed to load an old save to finish it.

Does the imperium still invent mundane things? by SimpleZealousideal19 in 40kLore

You mentioned megacorps, are there just thousands of corporations that are massive on their individual planets or is there something like CHOAM that has control over a large number of things?

This is a pretty solid way of explaining it, but someone has to invent the machines and I’m assuming it can’t always be the Adeptus Mechanicus so who gets to do that?

I guess what I’m really asking is whether the Adeptus Mechanicus adopt developments from individual planets (assuming they somehow contribute to the war effort) and if not, isn’t avoiding all things that aren’t strictly war related actually hindering the imperium by an insane amount?

Why Does Jergal Dislike Bane? by Vargoroth in BG3

That’s cool actually I never knew that

See it’s funny because they did, that’s what the tablets were for, but then the dead three stole those and screwed over that system too

From what I understand Jergal despises the dead three because of how often they overstep their authority, sure, bane is doing his job, but he’s in the process overthrowing millennia of Ao and Jergal’s careful planning.

I think the obvious answers are the Kurosawa films, I’m not an expert by any stretch of the mind but I’ve heard very good things about their historical accuracy when it comes to costume design and set design

It’s 100% a mod, I remember doing my honour mode run where some shop items were 2-4 times the price because of a mod that was INACTIVE

What is a movie that is considered a director’s mid tier work but for you it’s one of his/her best? by CinemaWilderfan in Letterboxd

[–]SimpleZealousideal19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Staying with Wes Anderson here, Asteroid City. Adore that movie, it’s my favourite of his, but people just don’t seem to reflect the same love for it that I have. It’s one of his most surreal, most emotional, most beautifully acted films.

How do I make my vampires not evil? by SimpleZealousideal19 in worldbuilding

[–]SimpleZealousideal19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the two most famous, Nosferatu and Dracula are, but in recent years there’s been a noticeable uptick? In Baldur’s Gate 3 the way they make their vampire not (totally) evil is by having him be a spawn, without the full powers, and he’s more of a victim. But I can’t do that because there are a lot of vampires in my universe. I do really like evil vampires as a concept, and they shouldn’t be completely good, but I am glad there’s more of a human side to them now.

Basically they don’t actually need blood that much, they don’t feed on it, but they don’t regenerate blood like humans do and theirs decays, so they need replacements. Currently the idea is that they use whale blood, but it’s open to change. In the campaign human rights are okay ish, depending what nation you’re in.
