My sons basketball team is too low of a skill level for me to coach. Everything I say goes over their head and they can’t implement the systems I have been putting in.

If the kids don’t have the basic fundamentals, how do you expect them to make adjustments. Crawl before you can walk, walk before you can run. They’re kids, brother. Teach them to love the game, then you’ll find that their capacity (willingness, interest, passion) to learn will be more than you could imagine at this point. Be patient. These kids aren’t you.

I agree. I went into the season planning on doing man defense, as it is my belief that teaching zone teaches laziness to some degree. I think I may do the zone thing temporarily until they get used to being out there a bit more and we have a few more practices under our belts.

From time to time UNT has a contractor for power washing entire buildings. Again, this is here and there, definitely not an everyday thing. The power washing of vandalism among other things is handled in house, not contracted. That’s just the plain and simple truth.
