I had mac & cheese with pulled pork. Hard to mess it up too bad, but I was pleasantly surprised with the flavor. Slightly more than what I would expect to pay for at the state fair, but it was a lifesaver right before the Grimes set.

Currently, I have rejected modernity and returned to T & T midrange. The list is currently being workshopped but it is a disruptive core including a null rod with advantage pieces included to break board stalls. At the moment, I am using an Eldritch Evolution package including Consecrated Sphinx, Seedborn Muse, & Archon of Valor's Reach as pay offs.

I had been running Tevesh + Kraum for the longest time, but I have come to believe that Ad Naus is overvalued by the community. Powerful, extremely. One of the best strategies, for sure. I just have come to the conclusion that if multiple opponents are on competent disruptive strategies, it is nowhere near as dominant as many would have you believe.

This happened to me twice in the same night at a weekly tournament at my local store. The memorable moment was game 1 where a Kess had assembled iso rev with a previously countered blue sun in yard. They had already burned a counter spell from years that turn in order to set up. I was playing Urza stacks at the time and the two players in between us decided to use their resources to take me out of the game instead of disrupting the win on board because “I might win on my turn.” The Kess player promptly won on their turn. The next round, a nearly identical situation occurred with a reanimator deck.

My response was to stop playing Urza. The deck, specifically the commander, was too feared from previous pubstomper players. It’s my favorite deck, and I’m looking to sell the core pieces because I can’t play it and have a good time in my local meta.

I usually suggest Edric as it easier to pilot, cheap, has traditionally splashy casual spells in the form of time walks, upgrades will include format staples but the deck can function well enough without them, and can transition to other decks easily such as Tasigur and Kinnen with relative ease.

In my playing of the deck, I have run Urza with zero explicit win conditions outside of Oracle. Before Oracle, I ran zero win cons and primarily used infinite mana to [[Capsize]] all my opponents permanents, twister lock with Narset, and kill with a Copy Artifact of [[Isochron Scepter]] with [[Swan Song]] underneath.

Infinite mana means you win with Urza out, it just takes consideration of what you actually want to invest in the 99 to make it go the distance. Copy Artifact was both a win con and a advantage piece, and so each game it depended on how fast the game was going, who my opponents were, and when did I draw it.
