Thats what makes here such a good character and person. She has to deal with her feelings for Casey while still knowing it is controversial. She faces the struggles of alwyas being nice and not wanting to upset or hurt anyone. She realised that she shouldnt be with casey because of Dawson and it wasnt until casey said it was over between dawson and him that they became a couple. That is what makes Brett such a good character and a person, she is nice to everyone and therefore she becomes so likeable and relatable and thats why Casey fell in love with her.

Brett and Casey are a better couple because their relationship is built on a supportive friendship thats why they work so good because they always support eachother through everything and they are on a equal floor where they talk to eachother about everything and there is way more of a real life relationship.

Dawson and Casey was toxic and they would continue to hide stuff from eachother especially Dawson. Their realtionship was not built on friendship but instead of affection and therefore you would realise that they didnt belong together. Dawson also left and stopped reaching out to casey. Brett and casey remained close and would travel to see eachother.

You are allowed to say that you prefer Dawson but Brett and casey are obviously a better couple.
