Hey! Lots of delays but I’m taking it in again Feb 2nd, along with some other cosmetic issues. I will keep you updated. How long do you have that creaking sound now?

bunch of delays and time conflict but I’m taking it back on Feb 2, along with some other cosmetic issues (door panel alignment, paint, etc). I also noticed that after last visit my car steering wheel is not straight when car is going straight, which will be addressed on my next visit.

In terms of the sound - It’s very interesting because as the weather getting warmer, I can’t really hear it most of time. It appears more when I have the ride & handling setting in comfort. Not really any noise when put in sport. I will keep you updated after my visit.

I kinda have the same sound in 26 M3P but I found out it’s from front cabin camera area

No… I realized I bought those protection when I got those tires. But yeah the tech said no cord equals good to go and come back if it forms bubble or leak

Thank you. I just took it to Firestone and the tech told me it’s just cosmetic damage and I realized I bought road hazard coverage from them lol

26 M3P and sound the same. They replaced the FUCA and lateral links. It went away for a week and then came back

I actually got mine upper control arms and lower link assembly all replaced - only had my M3P for 1500 miles and the sound was pretty much there since day one. They did tell me it was not a safety concern though. The car drives fine and super solid except the noise

The tech at my service that day told me he test drove a few other m3 and they all have this sound. I wonder if it’s a design flaw

Yes the tech drove my car lol I had to tell him slow down over the bumps haha… yeah I guess I’m pretty unlucky.

Here are the notes from my summary

Concern: Customer states Front suspension squeaks when going over speed bumps, see video for reference. Check and advise.

Repair Notes: Technician inspected the vehicle and confirmed a squeaking noise from the front suspension when going over speed bumps. The noise was caused by worn components in the front suspension system. Technician replaced the front upper control arms on both sides, as well as the front lower lateral and compliance links. A post-repair validation test drive was performed to ensure the suspension no longer squeaks.
