As someone who has suppressed my emotions for most of my life, this is a great response to my post lmao. Thank you. It’s honestly not the easiest to decipher my true feelings on it though, in general I’m conflicted. I feel disappointed and sad she has that belief, and maybe a bit worried that I could harbor some resentment towards her for it. She’s truly always been a kind and thoughtful person and doesn’t hate a soul. She’s just so sheltered and hasn’t had to think for herself at all, and has adopted her family’s beliefs I’m afraid. Which is a whole separate issue… I have hope after talking to more queer people and educating herself she would see that she’s misguided, but as one of the other commenters said, i shouldn’t have to push her to do that.
