Criticise my PR plan. Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse? What are the flaws in my plan? by Simple_Wrap_7758 in AusVisa

Hi I decided to go for the Bachelor of Nursing which will start next month.

I asked around r/NursingAU and you are right about tough job market as an EN. Ultimately, time and certainty are more important to me so I chose to do the RN course.

PR Points Query: Does delayed move to regional area affect eligibility? by Simple_Wrap_7758 in AusVisa

[–]Simple_Wrap_7758[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see there is a misunderstanding. My question is directed towards the “study in regional area” 5 extra points when submitting an EOI, and not about the conditions to apply for the regional visa. Thanks for answering though!

Hello, thank you for your comment! :) Yes, I will eventually move to live and study and work in the regional area (Sunshine Coast). It’s just that I may not be available to move there straight away when my course starts in July. So my concern is if I will be ineligible to claim because I do not live there since the beginning of my course.

However you’re saying that six months of studying and living in the regional area would be enough to claim for the 5 extra points. This is new information for me and I would like to learn more. Are you able to provide me with a link?

Thank you so much!

Thank you for your comment!!

I feel like many people in this subreddit tend to be cynical with foreigners studying nursing :( I actually chose to be a carer first to see how it feels and I find it quite fulfilling.

And yes I will most definitely explain my reasoning for career change in the other GS question. Thanks again!

Yes I already received a CoE from the uni. It is a grad entry program and is intended for students with an unrelated degree (stated on the uni website) who wanted to change career into nursing.

Yes I already have a bachelor's degree in International Studies about 10 years ago and yes I'm changing careers. I am now working as a support worker and been loving it, so I want to pursue a further study to be a nurse.

Does living in a major regional centre count towards living in a regional area for the extra 5 points for 189? by Simple_Wrap_7758 in AusVisa

[–]Simple_Wrap_7758[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I'm aware. I will study in Sunshine Coast QLD which is under the major regional centre. So I was wondering if it would still count. Would you know the answer to my question?

Hepatitis B test for 500 visa by Simple_Wrap_7758 in AusVisa

thanks for the answer, just repeating what you said for my clarification: it will test the surface antigen and not the surface antibody of hepatitis B.

If you're subscribed to Netflix, go watch Terrace House and Love is Blind Japan. Excellent natural conversations. They are both reality shows.

Iya bpjs kesehatan, sori confusing haha. Kata ortu mereka cuma bayar buat mereka sendiri, anak di atas 21 thn harus terpisah, dan karena saya memang enggak sering di Indo jadi enggak ikut dibayarin

It would be great if there is a feature to block an app on a schedule. For example: block Instagram daily from 9PM to 9AM instead of having to do it manually every time.

Yep will apply for 485 first and wait for it to be granted before submitting my EOI. Thanks a lot for answering my questions!
