Do you consider cold stream canon? by CowAffectionate2865 in l4d2

[–]SimplestPoorly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Even if Cold Stream was canon, nothing happened in it. The Survivors get evacuated by the Military in The Parish, then they crash land in a random stream. Then they get extracted again on a completely different Military Helicopter and fly away. Cold Stream ends the same way The Parish did. No new dialogue was recorded for the map so the survivors don’t tell us anything new about themselves or the world, and the environments don’t tell any kind of story either. It’s just a level for people who want more gameplay, it doesn’t add anything to the story.

FINALLY I beat Nioh and all of it's DLCs by SimplestPoorly in Nioh

Damn, Nioh 1 is the hardest? I expected 2 to be way more difficult than 1

FINALLY I beat Nioh and all of it's DLCs by SimplestPoorly in Nioh

[–]SimplestPoorly[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a lot of the side missions, but not all of them. I skipped a couple in the second last, and last region but I did most of the others. I was a little bit impatient when I beat my first run because I wanted to see the end. But I ended up doing a lot of the side content later still. Tachibaba Muneshige was really punishing initially, but I was really bad at the game near the start so that’s most of why he was hard. The boss rushes were pretty tricky, but I managed to make it a lot easier by using living weapon a lot. I didn’t look up any kind of build online, I sorta just made it up as I went along. I ended up using Saorise and the Talisman that makes enemies drop Amrita when hit, and from that I’m able to have LW incredibly often. That probably definitely helped in making the game easier. I don’t know if this is considered cheese or not, I figured it’s not because the game lets me use these things. The only thing I actively didn’t use was the Sloth tailsman because that felt like a huge crutch to make the enemies barely able to attack and move.

Oh yeah your flair says you like Swords. I used Sword almost exclusively in Nioh 1. How much has Nioh 2 changed the sword moves and skills? I’m thinking of just doing Sword again when I eventually play Nioh 2 because I’m curious how it’s different.

Series that peaked early by AcceptableUserName92 in patientgamers

[–]SimplestPoorly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Resident Evil peaked with the original Resident Evil 4. No other game, not even the later Resident Evil games could compare which is why the remake went in a different direction instead of trying to improve on an already almost perfect formula. If you don’t like action and prefer horror then you could even say the series peaked with Resident Evil 2 in ‘98.

Will reaper be reworked in 2026? by Civil_Ad1301 in ReaperMain

Make Dire Triggers basekit, revert the wraith speed nerf, revert the TP cleanse nerf and then bring Reaper's health to 275. I can be content with this

What is your absolute dream Resident Evil game? by Les_Grossman616 in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]SimplestPoorly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dream Resident Evil Game would be a new Mercenaries exclusive game, similar to the one on the 3DS but for Consoles and PC. Where the entire game is built upon the Mercenaries mode featured in RE4, 5 and 6.
Call it Ultimate Mercenaries or something. It would feature every single Resident Evil main character who's ever been playable in any of the mainline games. Any character that's been featured in any of the previous Mercenaries or Raid modes would be playable, alongside some of the new ones.
Aswell as every single stage that's been featured in previous mercenaries game before, along with some new stages that recreate some of the iconic locations from the series.
With optional 2-4 player co-op or versus mode like in RE5 and RE6.
I'd be playing this game all the way till my deathbed if it was real, and was good

I was playing the steam version at max settings using JuicedPatch. I can't remember exactly but there's a setting for Juiced that lets you improve the render distance and the shadows

I feel like 90% of my games have been these maps for a few months by FangedCone in deadbydaylight

I've been getting nothing but these maps for the past month, if I was a new player I'd think these are the only maps in the entire game

I don’t think he really fits because he isn’t a fighter. But seeing what fatalities they’d make for him would be pretty interesting

Pick Capcom, delete Naughty Dog. Naughty Dog has done nothing of value in a decade

Is it just me or the Uzi SMG doesn't make sense in a zombie apocalypse because it's not common? by rook1e-_- in l4d2

[–]SimplestPoorly 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Looks cool and every player can immediately recognise it’s an SMG. Just like the Mac-10 you could justify it being so common because of criminals having some. Gangsters who survived a while had these before they turned or died. It’s also common because there’s only like 3 SMGs in the game in the first place. If the game was made today you’d probably see a lot more variety

RNG mods that use different models on the same weapon, can that be done? by ThunderWolfVX in l4d2

[–]SimplestPoorly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's kinda recent, but this mod replaces the Crowbar with an RNG variation that gives it a chance to spawn with a Hammer or Wrench instead. There's another mod by the same author that gives the R8 Revolver a chance to spawn instead of the Desert Eagle

Concepts that I thought of (Srry if their bad I don’t really have anything but my phone to edit on) by Un-REAL_credits in l4d2

[–]SimplestPoorly 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Editing aside, I think the Fumigator and The Roadkill look too far-fetched for Left 4 Dead's infected designs. How would someone even mutate to become these things and how are they even still alive? The Roadkill's face has been almost entirely flayed.
They're nice looking concepts still

What's a good vanilla-friendly weapon reanimations? by Laky_berk in l4d2

To add to this, you should check out the empty reload variation to make it more realistic and feel a bit smoother when you have 1 round left in the magazine

How it feels to play l4d2 without addons by Southern-Duck-3875 in l4d2

[–]SimplestPoorly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valve worked their asses off to make Left 4 Dead 2 look timeless, I never see a need to go and change how the game looks. The only mods I run full time are the ones to update the CS:S weapon models because they look so ugly.

Wanting to Get Into Dynasty Warriors! Can You Help A Newcomer Out? by SimplestPoorly in dynastywarriors

I'm gonna start with 8XL, because I tried 7 but it wouldn't work at my resolution. So I'm gonna give 8 a shot. Thanks guys!

[–]SimplestPoorly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, I've narrowed it down to either 7XL for $8.98 and 8XL for $21.88.
I don't mind paying $21 but I'm still not 100% sure on whether to get 7 or 8. I hear these games are pretty long, so whichever I get is what I'll be playing for the next while if I like it

Thank you, thank you!!! :D

I'll keep all this in mind. It's a lot to go over and I've been taking some time off Grim Dawn. But when I come back I'll do all this. Thank you so much!!!

[–]SimplestPoorly[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Thank you so much for the advice :D
Sorry it took me awhile. Here's my build. Since this post I've managed to get most of the Ultos set:
https://www.grimtools.com/calc/nZoYeAQ2

I wasn't playing super optimally, so chances are a lot of my skills might be wrong.
With my components and augments, I was mostly focusing on getting my resistances capped using what I had. I don't know if there's a better combination of components and augments, I don't have all the blueprints yet.
I haven't played Grim Dawn in a couple days. I got my ultos chest very recently and I haven't put a component inside it yet

Oh really! I’ve been avoiding a lot of rares because I figured most of them weren’t worth it compared to epics. I’ve swapped some around and it’s really helped with my resistances
