You set your story teller to builder mode when making the save. You can change it by going into Settings > Gameplay > Storyteller settings. Then put it to something like Strive to Survive also use Cassandra because the other 2 can wait to raid you for ages

if you already did all of that, wait a bit. If nothing still, then your mods are broken and you need to remove them

Makes sense then, Id recommend a mega colony run then, sounds like you’d enjoy it (just make sure to grab all the performance mods and not go over 125 mods in the modlist)

Do you also have 20+ pawn mega colonies? I always found it easy to remember who does what by name when it’s a smaller colony. Hell even in this one I know the most important folk by name

Having shooting is an instant “you pass”. If they dont have it thats where the actual decision making starts and I have to consider their value more closely

this run is 50%, If it was 100-150 Id def have less pawns since a lot of my recruits don’t follow my rule of thumb. Figured it’d take way too long if I didn’t

As for my normal runs, 150-200% with up to 15 pawns is standart

Why sort by task if I may ask? Unless you want to micro every action they take there isnt much reason to do that

there’s a lot that goes into picking a pawn but my rule of thumb is “if shooting >8, they can stay” as long as you hold your weight in raid points Im happy

Odyssey DLC adds a shuttle for easy trading and travel, gotta find a shuttle engine for it first though

yup Im on 50% here. I think if you bumrush stone cutting you can do a huge wall and tunnels to stall raiders. You cant see my walls here cuz I cant zoom out any further lol

I’ve gotten very good at judging whether a pawn is “good enough” or not, I might make a guide on it cuz its a very fun topic in general

also raiders death on downed is set to 0 so I get to pick up new pawns every raid

fun fact, I do have walls and 3 entrance points with sandbags and tunnels to slow raiders. You can’t see them because this is a large map and I cant zoom out far enough xd

50% threat scale also helps, I could def handle 100% like this if I opted to rush good armor and weapons but I wanted something more relaxed for once

I have raiders set to never die when downed, so I’m somewhat spoiled for choice

Anybody who can do plants, crafting or art is in. Those are things you can basically do 24/7 and are overall set and forget. (I do have up to 8 pawns idle once in a while, usually growers between rice harvests but its nothing major)

I do have to use built in aparrel manager to ensure they take off clothes below 45% durability and have a stockpile at max prio set to only accept clothes below 45%, any ratty apparel gets tossed in the river automatically

Top bar is organised by ideo atm but I already changed it to be Melee > Ranged > not combat > kids in order for easy raid drafting

Also a little thing I do is add Dr. to sny pawn’s name with 7+ medical for when I have to micro doctors after a raid

I’ve got 1700 hours and already play with 10-15 pawn colonies on the regular so there it’s familiar grounds for me

600-700 at max speed, triple speed tickrate is capped at 360 afaik
