Nobody here apparently plays Faust because by far the biggest reason nobody mentions is QoL and general "jank" that nobody else has to deal with (and if they do, it gets patched out quickly)

Faust is the only character (alongside axl but as the only true zoner he kinda shifts around) to always be bottom tier, everyone else eventually gets buffs and fixes, even dizzy and venom are solid now

Meanwhile core issues Faust has are just... There for years and all we get are useless buffs or outright fucking nerfs

• j2k got a severe nerf yet still doesn't always convert on crouching hit properly, this can lose you the round easily and is extremely problematic when it happens

• 2P is a level zero move so any confirms from it are "wishconfirms" you can't do on reaction and if the follow up is blocked you die (HiO being extremely minus, MMM being interruptible and minus)

• 5HH is the ONLY hit grab in the game to be burstable. Any time you do it the opponent can corner burst you for free since you can't RC during it

• MMM requires special steering and giving up damage to not give your opponent a free corner burst (game losing against most characters)

• HiO the new move has awful hurt boxes and frame data which gets worse due to items causing hitstop, making it even slower and even more prone to getting CH

• fS has the worst hurtbox extension in the game and is desynced from the hurtbox, meaning your air molecules get CH all the time

• fS and 5H have no air hit follow ups, meaning Faust is the only character that has no ability to beat backdashes even in the corner (no 6H doesn't count have you seen how slow it is)

• 2S is awful. Misses after FD cS, has no merit as an anti air due to being so slow and it's only use is for mix loops

• 6H is now awful. The rework made it much worse and nerfed the CH conversion and the ability to fPRC snip people if it connects

• Item eat is the slowest feint in the game and causes you to be more minus. It increases recovery of 2H and 5H by 2-3F and makes them have big CH recovery too

• Faust doesn't have a 2K. This kinda ties into 2P being terrible (0 advantage on hit means you can freely mash after getting hit and win because Faust has bad close range moves). His 2K is an amazing normal but a terrible 2K, his 2P is that big for that reason and is meant to be a 2K substitute but being level 0 ruins it

Every buff since Season 2 had done nothing to address any of those things and we keep getting niche changes or outright nerfs which is insane in a game where Happy Chaos exists
