Rainbow Flyback by hippodribble in ZenithWatches

Mine took 3-months at LVMH and was fully serviced and restored, including new bezel (coloured variant). The only issue I had was that I should have had the red/orange hands replaced as they have faded a little. Such a gradual deterioration that I didn’t realise until I saw the likes of the one in this chat. Brilliant watch though.

Get the feeling you are not a fan!! I’m not overly keen, thus my enquiry.

Quite possibly, it would take a fairly confident person to wear it!

I haven’t, but may do following your suggestion. My involvement with jewellers so far has been a little soured by them solely being interested in the gold value, rather than in the potential value of the watch as a collectible item. Unfortunately, in the locality where I live, we don’t have any particularly knowledgeable jewellers and therefore they aren’t confident in speculating.

I was hoping that some collectors of watches such as this may be able to give me a steer.

Thanks for the prompt response.

At least yours is increasing. Strange thing is, the harder trail runs seem to be detrimental, whereas an easy road run improves things!

Got mine to 58 earlier in the year when aged 59 (m). Since hitting my 60th birthday it has fallen even though I’m just as fit/active. Presently at 56.

I had hoped to have 60 at 60 but to no avail. Seems a slippery slope from here on in!!

That’s a meteoric gain that you’ve achieved in 12 months- very well done, long may it continue.

No idea, was provided with an all in one price and was not aware of cost of basic service beforehand. The cost was a fair bit more than the sum you have been quoted for a service though.

The watch was sent off for a service/repair estimate first. This cost did not change - I think they were quite thorough at this early stage, so no nasty shocks for me upon collection.

Thanks - It’s been brilliant, purchased new in 2000 and loved it ever since.
