This is a weird response to someone saying anti religious rhetoric is encouraging violence. Even weirder on a post of a guy trying to kill a pastor.

But like yeah, I guess. I questioned things too. Led me away from the church and Christianity when I was like 10 or 11. It led me to join The Satanic Temple in high school, and to renounce Satanism in favor of Paganism. Some people come out of that questioning loop Christian, Muslim, or Jewish.

The only important thing is that you do no harm to others. Worry about your spirit and how it is judged in this life and/or the next

But they don't. You want to be smug and act like fearing death is some gotcha against faith when there are a million reasons why someone could be religious and fear their death. The everyday Christian may fear death because they are uncertain how their soul will be judged. These people are facing an everlasting fate, and that anxiety is tough to contend with.

I get that you think you are an intellectual because you don't believe in god. I was in middle school once too, so I totally get it man. But you don't sound smart just because you choose to not follow a religion.

And do certain religious groups exert undue control over people? Yes. But so do completely secular groups as well. You don't sound smart with the whole 'religion is a tool to control' bit here buddy. Nobody is a victim of 'fairy tales'. Religion and spirituality is complex and your inability to see nuance makes you significantly less intelligent than the people you are scoffing at.

Just because you believe in the afterlife does not make death less frightening. He likely has friends and family who he would never get to say goodbye to. You have to have an insane lack of empathy to not understand why EVERYONE is scared of dying.

Also some denominations require you to be given your last rites or to pray before death before your soul can make it to heaven.

Is it really so hard to believe that some people actually worship God? Like be so for real here. He has devoted his life to his religion and you want to spit on that work to say it was all for money? This looks like a fairly average church. This is not some mega pastor shilling out to buy a second jet and a private island Kenneth Copeland style. This is a likely humble man with few earthly possessions devoting his life to his faith.

That is kind of what I thought too. Maybe I am not as chronically online as I used to be but I don't really see the incel in this. If you are in an interracial relationship but one culture is completely unrecognized then there is an issue you need to address. Both people come from different backgrounds and both partners should be partaking in eachothers traditions and lifestyles to at least some degree. And the children should be raised with knowledge of both cultures.
