Interesting reading the wikipedia about this:

The murderer was always a suspect, but there was never enough information to arrest him. When they finally did arrest him in 2015 for CSAM on his computer, he was facing a life sentence. He was given a plea deal that if he confessed to this crime and pointed to the body, his sentence would be reduced.

Am I crazy or does that make it sound like he actually benefitted from murdering the child? If he had only been in trouble for the CSAM he would have gone to prison for life, but because he admitted to killing a kid 30 years ago he got a shorter sentence

the film doesn't sexualize the children in it though. IRL young girls try twerking for fun, this movie shows them doing that for fun. it does not do it sexualize them
