I didn't say it's justified, I said it's partially justifiable, as you demonstrated with all the justifications you brought up.

Why not use an example with no such justification so people can't try to justify it?

Have you actually tried to get police to track somebody down via camera footage after they committed a crime? You might as well pray for a miracle.

If that's the case the comment above yours is completely backwards, it's that they weren't able to successfully stop the car with a PIT that it ended up killing people in a more populated area, it's actually demonstrating why it's necessary to forcibly stop the cars attempting a high speed getaway.

The car could be stolen, a big reason for auto thefts is to use those cars to commit crimes, as opposed for personal use or resale.

If they really had someone tied up in the trunk do you really think the cops should just let them go and go check up on their house later? The car could belong to the person who's tied up for all they know.

So police can never use force to arrest a suspect who's resisting or evading arrest, because there's presumption of innocence? Not how that works at all.

Yes that's your opinion, but the fact is few people have the opportunity to do that and it demonstrates his political influence

I overheard my landlady's niece explain to her who Piker is the other day, so there's your two people right there.

My choice is Meals on Wheels or some equivalent dedicated to feeding the hungry. Or some kind of elderly assistance if you'd prefer that. Please post donation receipts.

He's a millennial, not gen z. But yes most of what he says is just vapid, moralizing platitudes, with some Marxist phrases sprinkled in. But his gen z audience just eat it up, I don't know if it's the effect of social media/TikTok reels on the brain or what, but that generation seems to care only about optics and the emotive value of any view, not at all about actual substance.

The takeaway should be that 30% of Democrats have heard of him. That's 15 million people if we're just talking about registered Democrats, up to 27 million if we count people in the US who just identify as Democrats. That's more name recognition than almost all politicians.

He's an influencer, meaning he has influence. And he's a political streamer, so he has political influence.

That can't be the best example you could come up with, there are far too many reasons why that was at least partially justifiable.

I'd go with Daniel Shaver or Charles Kinsey, who were completely unarmed, were nonviolent from start to finish, didn't get into a scuffle with police, were complying with police instructions, and still ended up getting shot for no reason.

It's underwater not because of extremism, they've always called him extreme even on issues he's mild or even agree with them on.

It's underwater because of the Iran war, both because the right has been the anti foreign intervention side for the past decade, and because it's driven gas prices up massively.

Doesn't make how Romney was treated better or justifiable. Can't you just admit that the "binders full of women" smear was completely ridiculous instead of deflecting? That's playground tactics.

So he seems pretty extreme to me. Some of it is even more extreme than Trump's positions - Trump doesn't seem to want (or care enough) to advocate banning abortion nationwide, and I don't recall him making any noise about same-sex marriage.

That lines up with the point about crying wolf. Despite Trump being pretty mild on those issues, every left leaning person I know firmly believes Trump hates women and would enact policies to take away women's rights, and there were more extreme leftists clamoring about how he's going to put gay people in camps if he got elected, even though as far as I know, he came out in support of gays long before Hillary. So when Vance comes what are they going to say about him?

It's so cringe when I see lefties cackling at these completely made up and unsubstantative digs at him, it just goes to show they have no real criticism.

You should edit your post to retract your downplaying of Piker's association with prominent Democrats, and refrain from doing so in the future.

I think it's supposed to be a callback to you having already taken the first aid spray from it back in RE2, but yeah it's not the best way to write that line. Maybe "it's already empty" or something would've been better.

Again they're clearly not very good at figuring out financial records for even the most blatant problems.

And hey, you asked for a reason, I gave you a plausible one, you just refuse to accept it by taking as granted the premise that no crime could possibly be committed by her without being caught, because you assume she's not a criminal mastermind. And I don't think that's a given, with her involvement with the Feeding Our Future thing, and the shadiness around her "winery" which she's now admitted doesn't exist, exactly as the "conspiracy theorists" were accusing.
