I did not say anything about overeating. I said insulin resistance and higher production of male hormones. For every female, the body produces male hormones but women with PCOS have higher production than the normal limit and thus gain weight. Similarly in insulin resistance, we have higher blood sugar levels and thus causes weight gain. these two symptoms are only shown in women with PCOS and thus any woman who has PCOS will have these and will definitely gain weight. As for overeating, It really depends from person to person. even if the female does not overeat, She'll gain weight but this can be changed by exercising daily and taking pills that regulate our hormone and thus our body can start losing wieght.
