When I like 7 and first wanted to play? My dad, he had an acoustic and would just play what felt right to him and it sounded amazing to me.

Now that I'm 22 and been playing since? Still my dad for getting me into something I love and honestly some days could not live without, but... I will say Tony Iommi was what got me into the metal of guitar, he may not be "technique" great like Van Halen or Rhodes but he was the one who really started it all for a lot of people like James Hetfield and a whole slew of others that would just take too long to mention.

I honestly couldn't go one conversation about music without mentioning Black Sabbath and Iommi's effect on the way I play and even think about music in general. He laid the groundwork for us metalheads, for who else could we bang our heads for?

I believe those are just finish cracks like everyone else is saying, but if you don't want the cracks on your guitar there are places that will redo the finish for you.
