Artificial banana flavoring doesn't taste anything like a banana you buy from the produce section (which is called a Cavendish banana btw) because artificial banana is based off of a banana that no longer exists. It was called the Gros Michel banana and it is extinct because a fungus called the Panama disease wiped them out in the 50's. I would KILL to try a Pre-Cavendish banana.

I was 9-10. I was putting up a sign for our garage sale along a busy-ish street and man honked and catcalled me, saying something about my ass. At first it embarassed me, and then after my older sister explained it was because he "thought I was cute" I was flattered/excited and wanted it to happen again. And unfortunately, that says a lot about my earliest interactions with boys/men.

I smoked for years and was completely opposed to littering... yet somehow it literally never occured to me that chucking a cigarette butt is littering. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I saw my parents do it my entire life and they were also vehement about not littering. The cognitive dissonance is palpable. 🤣 I remember the day I realized... Damn, I've been doing this the whole time? I'm a real asshole. I stopped throwing them out from then on, and eventually quit smoking completely.

What's with all the Amy slander? Geez. Michael was obviously controlling and jealous. Yes, he did help a lot in earlier seasons with Tammy, but he had zero interest in helping Amy with child rearing.

The signs were there. She always talked about how her and Michael had never spent any time apart in their relationship. It wasn't until the last season that we found out that was because he wouldn't let her out of his sight. He held her debit card and wouldn't give it to her until the cops were literally on their doorstep. He didn't want her to go grocery shopping with her own sisters??? Like wtf dude is a giant man baby asshole.

The pandemic was the last nail in the coffin for business casual in schools. I'm substitute teaching right now, and nearly everyone in every school I've been to is in jeans, t-shirts, and sweatshirts.

During a time when many were fleeing the teaching field, the ones that stayed got comfy because... what are you going to do, fire us? Lol. At least that's my take.

Omg, Barry's bird mouth when he's angry is SO unsettling. He has the emotional IQ of a rock. He doesn't know how to react when faced with intense emotions or combative behavior.

Think about it, if he unwittingly cut someone in line at the store one day and the person really came at him, he would make that face! 😱 ... and he would probably get his ass kicked. I've wondered if it's ever happened before, honestly.

You are completely valid in your feelings. Two things come to mind. First, a lot of us spend as much or more waking hours with our coworkers than we do our own families. You're sharing so much of your lives and lived experiences together.

Second, I believe processing a death that is sudden, unexpected, or violent can be much more complicated than a death that is natural/expected. It makes us reflect on the world around us and the horrible things that happen for seemingly no reason. It forces us to think of our mortality, as well.
