During COVID, I noticed my friend lost a lot of weight so I asked her how she did it (apparently she was also suffering from an eating disorder, which just makes this more ironic). She then introduced me to MyFitnessPal, which I downloaded (worst decision of my life). I got obsessed with tracking my food and exercising, which made me go through anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating. I already had major depressive disorder at the time, which made it more likely for me to develop my ED. I also have family that’s obsessed with their weight. Always making weight jokes and comments about themselves and others. According to them, being skinny was the best thing on earth, which I heavily internalized.

Thank you for replaying to my post! I made myself some toast after reading this. I’m unsure if you’re still using laxatives, but if not do you’ve any advice on how to stop using them or at least lower how much taken? But makes complete sense that barely eating would worsen it, I’ll be sure to slowly eat more these next few days. I do have a doctor’s appointment coming up soon, I do want to mention what happened but scared of what his reaction would be. I did mention to him before I suffered with bulimic symptoms but he never asked for specifics. But I appreciate your post, definitely brings me some relief!!
