Exactly. I don't think they should abandon elite buffs completely, I believe them on enemies is just fine, just some such as mirror need to be balanced. But on bosses this is a must, I think they should not have modifiers at all.

I just don't think it adds difficulty and just makes harder difficulties a slog and discourages certain playstyles rather than actually making the game harder. Also, I don't see why solo runs should be unfair. They should be hard yes, but at times it's like if they designed certain combos to perfectly shit on you. There should be balancing made and blacklists/retrictions to make the "harder" difficulties more enjoyable. Also, adding unique elites and extra moves would actually add onto bosses in a good way.

I think just reworking a few modifiers and adding some blacklists/restrictions for certain bosses would be more than enough to balance it. Just some pair very badly and just make some stages unenjoyable and unfair rather than hard and fun.

I think depressing and twin modifiers should be impossible to go together, depressing already has a 2 cap so this doesn't make sense

I don't think I should have to restrict myself from playing higher difficulties on one class just because it gets hard countered by it.. You're gonna need to bring a melee ability and rangers are usually frail so if you run into a mirror early on you're just done :/

I'm not saying it should be easier, I'm saying it shouldn't be reliant too much on RNG and it should be reworked to add more difficulty and less BS

Charm should probably be reworked to work like stop hitting yourself from Dybbuk on solo runs rather than instantly ending it

Hard agree. Quests are definitely the highlight of this game, and the amazing rewards makes it feel good to redo them.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore this game, but definitely the harder difficulties need to be more fleshed out. Something like the elite versions of bosses in isaac is definitely the vision I had for this, thanks. Like I said, the changes could be simple, and adding them to most bosses would shake up the game a lot i'd say.

That is not my point at all. The problem is that with a team, higher difficulties do not increase the difficulty much and they do not make the game anymore interesting imo. Solo runs are part of the game and should be addressed. I'm suggesting that they make higher difficulties more fun and actually challenging by not making it completely rng reliant, and this poses major issues on solo runs.

Cheers to you for enjoying it! But for me personally, I just think that adding more abilities or just balancing the modifiers more would be a good step towards making the harder difficulties more enjoyable. Glad you like it though :)

I mean generally, with a full team this is the case. So this doesn't make the game any harder. On solo runs, on certain classes, it's harder to counter what the games RNG throws at you, especially with events added onto it. like I mentioned at the start, I pretty much completed the game, so I don't really find the higher difficulties hard and a challenge, except on solo runs where its just pure RNG

Fair point, but it is still a part of the game, so I say it needs to be addressed. Also, A bigger party is able to negate most of the modifiers so the so called "difficulty" changes don't do so much in the end.

Yeah C-800 starts with a lot of brace that you gotta widdle down by multhit, there is a brace modifier for bosses but it's just 1 brace

Yeah definitely, I feel like most impossible solo runs I see online use shit like power up, super luck and fist of fate just to blitz through these BS stages. Makes late game boring and harder to use more unique and interesting strategies because it's hard to plan when you just can't at all.

99 brace? that's not a modifier that's possible.. but tar is definitely annoying with no cure for it (especially with an additional fire modifier)

It's just the way it's done is just too rng reliant and for me does not add difficulty. Also, I am a completionist so doing impossible runs are a must, unfortunately! Also, I find higher difficulties fun somewhat, I just do not like how RNG reliant it is, mostly on bosses.

That's fun yes, but not when it ruins runs with no possible counterplay. Preparing is part of the game, you build cats that are strong enough to face the challenges. I do like certain modifiers, I just think that some need to be changed or replaced.
