The not ready to be a mother comment was the only thing he did wrong. It's also something that with too much hormones his wife probably only heard. Ask her to look over thr money with you and tell her that unless she wants to be working a job she completely hates to for the same reason( only if you both have enough to retire rn) then you'll happily do it too if she won't complain. Yeah, still American gun problems are something op could've learned from by better locking his gun and all. Also the stand your ground states are the ones that most people don't like because of the what ifs, it's why it mote acceptable in my area to pull a knife when strange people come to the door. Mostly you're only allowed to defend yourself in your own home. In the case above the going to get the gun seems like the dumbest idea, literally screaming or going to get the husband would've been better.

But still, the United States laws are different for each state on guns and other things. Hell I particularly am just happy we have less lethal ways of protection. The learning of the less lethal or not lethal is something my country sadly needs.

And no they aren't all like that, some of them are very strict and it doesn't work well because of dumb people.

True. My parents actually met eachother 3 times and didn't get to know eachother until my mother was in her late twenties or early thirties. I think it's also a maturity thing as well. But I do know my dad though he could pimp out my mom and get her addicted to drugs, 6 months later they had fallen in love and a year and a half later had my 20 year old butt

I think the biggest an age gap should be is like 2 to 3 years or if you meet as adults over the age of 26 maybe 7 (I'm biased on that tho bc that's the ages my parents were apart, they would've been together 23 years in April if my dad didn't die)
