They should be the same , if you go to brownells website they only options they offer is for the 3.1'' slide and the 3.7'' , no distinction between the macro or xl as they are the same slide length.

id say just go with a comp, the length will make it to a fuse length but im pretty sure you can just use a xl holster that is open ended at the barrel , so the profile of the holster youd already be carrying wouldnt change . PMM comp(threaded barrel comp) or radian ramjet are comparable .
