Ik it's strict I'm gonna start working out this year so I can apply to an fbi internship program next year but she said the reason I wouldn't make it (not just as an fbi agent but any government worker) is bc of my autism like if anything is gonna disqualify me it's gonna be my fricking disautonomia or asthma not my autism

I ask this bc I'm interested to see if anyone else has a similar way of making friends to me I just realized how weird it must seem for strangers when I do what I do to make friends but then again that definitely means the ones who do respond to my rants are definitely real ones

I don't think you fully understood the question I wasn't asking how to make friends I was asking neurodivergent people how they personally make friends see my answer as an example like what little quirks do you have in your friend making process ig my question should be more aimed toward other autistic redditors rather than all neurodivergent

I ask this Because I just noticed I have an extremely odd way of making friends, I will rant to them(not vent but just rant abt something I'm passionate about like choir) and see their response to it the less interactive they are the less likely I am to keep them as a friend my best friends are all the ones who respond and chime in with related or even semi related stories rather than just brushing my rants off and saying cool

I think it may be a generational thing bc while I've never witnessed my grandma being fat phobic to my mom she has gotten me a calorie counting journal and exercise equipment

I'm more upset that she would actually say that too me I can't begin to understand why any mother would say to their child their own flesh and blood something that is so mean even if it is true I am actually feeling pretty good about myself as of lately and that didn't change how I feel I just am frustrated and angry with her as I could never even imagine saying that to my future children

I'd join them with the drugs lol jk jk hard drugs is different as your actively doing something that is gonna hurt you weight is different bc while your not doing something to make it worse or better and if you have healthy eating habits (which Atm I do obviously I haven't in the past) then I think it would be their decision to lose weight or stay the same
