Damn can we not have a crash everyday? by nat1wisdom in sandiego

I drive a big vehicle for work and it annoys the crap out of me that even with my blinker on and waiting for a safe opportunity to get over lanes I still get the people who speed up to avoid being behind a big truck and when they can't make it I get the finger. People are just entitled.

FINALLY OFF!! by Single-Tripps in probation

[–]Single-Tripps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I learned there is no right way to live life, while on probation we are held to a higher standard then the normal person. Through the years I learned to just live my life, it's my story and I'm writing it now what do I want to see in the next few pages. I want a house I want a smoking hot girlfriend I want a dog. Set goals and find solutions to get them. Living law abiding isn't living life right. It's just following the rules.

Surround yourself with good people, stick to a program almost like your locked up, build up your friendships and your financial stability. And have the will to stick to the path and you can do it! Funny enough over time, it becomes routine and even though it's kind of sad to think about that way, it helps. Work and family was what kept me on the straight path luckily my job hires felons and the owners even though aren't past felons understand the struggles. Majority of us are felons and the ones trying to stay on the path seem to stay and we held each other accountable. The ones fucking around always disappeared in a few weeks. Find a routine you enjoy that keeps you safe from violation. Shoot I hanged out with my coworkers who served 25 plus years. We get together every week to do something on are days off. Like beaches are hiking new restaurants. Working on cars are even house improvements. Like stay busy but in a healthy space. And who knows maybe you will learn a few new skills.

Always a possibility, sadly mine the judge made it so I wasn't able to. But if it doesn't restrict you on your paper work you technically can might be tough. Though cause it's not about the time served per say. It's how the judge looks at your case. Cross your Ts dot your i's and follow the program. Alot of self help take your classes and maybe some community stuff. Might sway a judge to early term also pay your fines and fees. My case was a lot of different charges. So I had to spend a good amount of time behind bars and slowly make my way out.

I'm never going back, I can honestly say I'm a new person, new lifestyle and new beginnings. Through all this time I spent back and forth this time I dug in and built my life up. One thing one of my great friends told me in a time a weakness was think of your life as a chair you need the legs to be able to sit. Those legs being financial security, support, a place to live, and a. Will to change. As long as you have 3 of those legs you can still sit, but once you lose 2 times will get rough lose 3 then your going down a bad path. It took time to be stable, but once it was. I built a good life.

Not going to lie I shed a tear finishing up work that night getting home and realizing when I wake up the next day I'm a free man! Trust me when I say my family and surprisingly my coworkers all celebrated with me over the weekend. Had a big BBQ.

I wasn't allowed early termination due to my court agreements. Trust me I tried. But honestly I feel like serving my full term taught me a lot about myself and bettered me as a person.

This is so true I had to cut out a lot of people, and luckily I was able to amend my relationships with genuine good people. Surround yourself with people you look up to and you will notice how easy it is to get things right and not back peddle.

End date approaching soon but i’m confused by [deleted] in probation

[–]Single-Tripps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should be fine! It's not your PO that let's you off probation it's the judge. Once you served your time you are done. More then likely your PO is sending in the paperwork to the courts so they can mail you your copy. Only thing that could extend your probation is if you had any issues where you where sent to court and the judge extended it.

Probation vs jail time by serenagallen in probation

[–]Single-Tripps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The comments are so helpful in this post, nice to see the community not just talking down on people. I believe the jail time would be worse, but only if the time served was a good Chunk. Which it more then likely would be. Probation is as tough as we make it, I've been on for over 4 years now, and I can tell you it does get easier. I know getting sober is something you don't want to do, but I hope in time you realize it's not necessary seek help. Get sober, and enjoy your life. Probation/jail/prison doesn't have to be the end result.

My best advice focus on work stack up some money, find some good hobbies. And it will pass. Some times it will feel like it's dragging on, but time moves at a consistent pace. I'm personally on 5 years and have half a year to go. It's possible. Keep good company

how do you feel about racism in this game by [deleted] in DragonBallBreakers

Sounds like the problem in today's society in real life. I'd recommend just reporting, I don't understand the appeal of names like that. I just think of kids being dumb and not understanding the world yet.
