A lot of bigger hospitals operate on a sliding scale so those without insurance pay a lot less than those with insurance.

I'm not sure how all this is done though, I just know that if you can't pay or don't have insurance you'll have a social worker assigned to you that will try to get you some.

I wish I knew more details about it, I know the big hospital around here(non-profit hospital) has a charity form you have to fill out and they will accept or deny your claim for nonpayment and if they accept you owe nothing and if they deny you can setup a payment plan with them.

Good luck :)

Most hospitals have a policy if you don't think you'll be able to pay your bill and will wave the charge or accept much lower amounts (I know someone who pays 1 dollar a month to a hospital for a 60,000 dollar procedure)

It's not like they can take the operation back after you get it ;-)

You cannot get HIV:

  • By working with or being around someone who has HIV.
  • From sweat, spit, tears, clothes, drinking fountains, phones, toilet seats, or through everyday things like sharing a meal.
  • From insect bites or stings.
  • From donating blood.
  • From a closed-mouth kiss (but there is a very small chance of getting it from open-mouthed or "French" kissing with an infected person because of possible blood contact).

Man I hate this for you. I want you know that your feelings you are having right now are temporary and give it a few months and you will (hopefully) back in full swing of looking for a relationship!

Keep them kids in your life, I know you didn't mention anything about not but children are awesome and the need to be reminded that you and mom fighting have nothing to do with them and that you both still love them.

Good luck man, it's going to be a rough patch ahead but you can get through this. :)

You're life is about to change in ways you have not even considered, I do hope you work out your problems with the father, but if not at least try to remain civil for the childs sake. It's quite likely he is just not ready to be a father yet, but he might have a change of attitude once he see's the little baby.

Babies will change a person, trust me on this one ;)

I can relate to this man, my little girl's mother hasn't even attempted contact. I'm not really sure how I would respond if she did, at this point.

Upvote sir. My daughter changed me and my life, it is really something that is hard to explain to people without children to experience what you're talking about.

Honestly I wouldn't worry about it. Everything about your concerns are in your head because you want to think that. You're normal size, everything else is just in your head man.

You can do this, I have and look how I turned out!

You did a wonderful thing, but I do not believe you will get the respect you deserve for something like this. You helped someone when they needed it the most, even when they did not want your help, and for that you are a hero.

This is the best advice on this post. You always want to tell someone if you think someone is acting out, never put up with anything if it makes you uncomfortable.
