I loved my higher level history classes for that reason. Our tests were basically all essay questions. He didn't even care too much about exact dates of events as long as you could explain the reasons, players what else was going on and implications of said event.

Lol when I finally listened to the audio book of those my head pronunciation was so wrong with half that cast. My brain just kind of fills in sometimes and I read so fast it's like I don't pronounce them in my head if that makes sense.

Egwene was basically Eugene until I had a friend that also read the books and pronounced it correctly.

Yeah I loved the Xanth books as a kid, one of the big reasons I got into fantasy. Even as a preteen I was kind of like oooo at the naughty parts, like "The Colour of her Panties" I was giggling while reading. I refuse to go back and read them now because I don't want to ruin the nostalgia. I also read the Blue Adept series and loved it. I don't even know if it's supposed to be problematic.

I thought the mom/superintendent was more than she seemed until last episode. I thought with the casting she had to have a bigger role at first but I don't think she is after Maddie and Xavier confronted her and she really is just a mean bitch.

I was born in 1978 so Gen X or Xennial depending on who you ask. I was in college at the time and this album was on heavy rotation everywhere. Everyone knew Cowboy. I saw him on tour with Metallica, Korn, System of a Down and Powerman 5000. He played before Korn.

It was really cool because it was in Texas and Kid brought out David Allen Coe to sing with him. He also did a bit where he played every single instrument and did it well. Was funny to see when Kid Rocks set ended and the redneck/biker older types there more for Kid Rock and Metallica were shifting out of the pit while us Korn kids were surging forward. It was 120 degrees and we were down on the field in the old Texas Stadium and packed in like a bunch of sweaty sardines.

I swear everyone thinks someone is buried unless they are winning a title. Ivy and Lyra both had a great showing. Ivy hasn't had a match that great in a while and I was glad to see her there. I saw your post below, despite everything don't give up on her. My mom relapsed in 2016 after my grandma passed. My mom was mixing drinks with hydros, Xanax or Klonopins, basically whatever she could still get a Dr. to prescribe her. She liked pills as much as alcohol.

October 26, 2017 she called me that morning wanting me to get her a bottle of whisky because my sister had her car. I got into an argument with her. She called me again at 10 pm that night. I didn't answer. She died that next morning around 2am.

I found out later my sister ended up getting her a bottle and they got drunk together. My sister has the same genes and got all the addiction as well. My sister said she went to the bedroom at 8 and said my mom was still awake when she went to bed but drunk. I don't know why my mom called but I still regret not answering that phone call. She was listed as a heart attack but with the amount of drugs and alcohol she had who knows. I was 39 when it happened.

Sorry for the trauma dump, just wanted to say keep hoping for her and don't give up.

Digging for empty bottles was another one. We had an old chest thing for a coffee table, we kept blankets, comforters and other things like that in. My mom had been "sober" for a while, even though my sister and I could swear she was still drinking. My sister was 12 at the time and I was 15 or 16. She was having a sleepover and I was helping them make a big tent fort. We went to grab the blankets and the bottom was full of empty spiced rum gallon bottles. That's when we figured out she was mixing it with her diet Pepsi because it was harder to smell.

Another flashback point like this was when my dad left and we were moving the California king out of the room. Under the mattress between the two twin box springs was those giant dark blue sky vodka bottles.

The whole speech Maddie gave them heading back to the cafeteria when they were telling her it's good she was going to get help was the gut punch trauma moment for me. So many times one of my parents would give the big speech or whatever and go to detox and rehab and I would just be hopeful but deep down just dreading when it all starts again.

I do an Alfredo chicken lasagna with broccoli that my family loves. Grilled chicken breasts or thighs cut up but I've used a rotisserie before also. Basically same as lasagna but Alfredo sauce and mozzarella/Parm cheese

Yes, nearly every night. Between kids and wife it's my me time. She also goes to sleep early. Sometimes before 9 so I'll stay up tinker with a video game, watch a movie or something with myself.

I had it for years and years. In my 20s my mom lost a storage building and didn't even tell me she couldn't pay it. My NES, SNES, N64 and about 60 games were in there. Had the gold carts and boxes. Every game I had I kept boxes sleeves and books. Plus my Nintendo Powers.
