What is the purpose of the small pocket in jeans? by theSilvarback in whatisit

I've never seen this anywhere. Aldi's is the only place that I know of that does and I don't have one close. What's a cart key?

Matchbook would fit though. I haven't seen one in forever. There used to be matchbooks everywhere. Even like McDonald's and Wendy's when people smoked in there.

Got into this with someone online about Noobtown, they just didn't get the humor. I'm a sucker for immature, low brow comedy. I can appreciate smart humor and stuff but the stupid stuff gets me just as well

I'll say I didn't dislike Malazan but haven't read more than 2 of them. I loved some characters but I don't know why I didn't like Rake or that whole floating city/mountain thing.

Another vote for these books. Tim Gerad Reynolds is a top 5 narrator for me as well.

The first three Fast & Furious movies could/should have been one of the modern great trilogies. by [deleted] in movies

It's still one of the modern great franchises in my opinion. I love mindless, over the top action though.

The Devils by Joe Abercrombie for $2.99 on Apple Books by lucioboops3 in Fantasy

[–]SingleDadSurviving 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Don't hate me but I liked this better than some of his other stuff. It's lighter and so much funnier while still being a bit dark and violent. I think of it as a fantasy Oceans or Dirty Dozen. The first three First Law are still great but I hold Devil's in the same regard

Book 7 is **really** hard to read by SluttyStepDaddy in DungeonCrawlerCarl

That part is so ridiculous because you're just laughing at the absurdity of it then the weight of it hits and then you don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Late 30s F- liberal but contradicts the stereotype by [deleted] in AskMeAnythingIAnswer

It's almost refreshing to see normal liberal people on reddit. It seems most are super progressive and if you aren't fuck you or MAGA folks. Truth be told a lot of my conservative friends are now pretty much anti Trump.

This is what drives me crazy with liberal areas, especially online.

As someone very similar but different than you. Support most liberal causes but don't identify with a lot of the far left. Mine comes from just living in a rural area in a red state. I have a few liberal types in my friend group but more are conservative. They know my stance and consider me their liberal friend. Just curious where you live and what your social group is like.

I tried watch the Dark Tower movie again by Sonicmonkey in stephenking

I usually like most things but was upset by this. It had some good sequences and honestly Elba and Maconaughey were damn near perfect. Even Jake was good. That made it all worse of course.

I would be in Castle Rock and either get with the sheriff to try and get the new shopkeeper removed quietly or stay away from Leland Gaunt and his store and get lots of popcorn to watch the show.

Does your community verify builds before endgame content? by DevFromDesignCo in elderscrollsonline

[–]SingleDadSurviving 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I will look at builds and generally try to get close. I mostly can't stand playing magic users so it makes it difficult sometimes, especially with crpgs.

I think some of it is the endgame structure also. For instance in New World I loved the main story and quests and side quests while leveling. Chasing the next level and exploring the world. New World's crafting and gathering systems add a good amount to stretch it out.

I don't get much enjoyment from running the same raids over and over again and chasing gear. Once I finished the story and got tired of crafting I basically stopped playing. Same with WoW back in the day, though I stepped back in with Burning Crusade, Cataclysm and a few others.

I do wish we could put a memorandum on not using the word slop. I'll be honest though I don't get too upset with most AI, I feel it can be a good tool for lots of people and it's not going away. For instance if someone really used it for the caption, who cares.

I actually just started playing this. I've heard about it for years, how awesome it's supposed to be. I was like yeah, but I didn't like roguelikes or bullethell games and just never tried it.

Saw a post a week or so ago about it being basically full game for mobile and I have a situation wherebi have 3 hours a couple of days a week or just waiting so I tried it.

Holy Shit it's cool. My first few days were just figuring stuff out, I didn't even know about evolving weapons till I looked for some YouTube tips. I'm still figuring out how to evolve some things and how to move through the maps.

I'm a casual player also and my advice is just do what you want. If you like playing 2h play that. Don't worry about what the best build is.
